Root the skater 187 rom

Well, I don't really know ( exact number ) how many ROMS were made for the Prevail, I just used and tested a few..... It's always personal preferences..... But the most used ones are ( in no particular order ) : CTMod3.80, CM7, 187Mod, Halfass

CTMod3.80 in DATA mode runs great on my Prevail and I have no issues at all..... Some people use CTMod3.80 with SSM mode, they say it's faster..... My important observation is, whatever you use for a ROM, you should have a fast sd-card, like a 16 or 32 GB class 10 card..... However, some cards work great on the comp and other devices, but not in the Prevail..... I usually always use Sandisk cards and never had a problem with them....,,. Once you have , lets say a 16GB class10 card, get Kouma's SDParter app and partition your card INSIDE the phone like ( approx. ) : 13GB FAT / 1GB sd-ext / 1GB sd-ext / 1GB swap

With this partitioning, you can use almost every ROM as well as DATA and SSM mode to try out !!

Hope this helps ! ;) Now you have something to do with your "lots of free time", until Skater comes and answers your querstions ! :)

In DATA mode you have almost unlimited space to install apps since they are installed and run from the sdext partition..... In SSM mode, some data still remain on the phones internal memory while other parts run from the sdcard's sdext partition..... SSM seems to be faster, maybe more resposive...... I like DATA, since with a fast class10 sdcard you can install more apps and still run fast..... But you have to try what works best for you..... There are many people here who run SSM and can give you great advise on how to set it up correctly......

I have one question, what is SSM, and what does it do.

VCE, pretty much explained it. I run the ssm and have 120 apps and a bunch of data for the apps and still have 75 mb free and that is where it pretty much stays. I had switched to data mode and have a class 10 card and it is just faster, by a good amount. It is all what you want, just try them both and when get them done and working make a backup of each so can switch back to one or the other.

I just talked with The Skater. Hopefully he'll have time to drop by here. If not, I need some information from you. Do you know exactly which build you are looking for? If it was released in a post in his thread, give me the exact post numbers.

EDIT:
He just asked me to get the info from you........ get back with me on it and I'll let you know what's up. :D Remember, try to be as specific as you can on the build.

They must have been on my old RAID drives that died a few months ago. So, if anyone here has a copy feel free to send it myself as well as salgadoadiel12 please. Thanks Guys.
