I am fairly sure when you get the phone on their service you could ask them for insurance, they may have a few stipulations but they will do it but it has to be within 14 days of adding it to the plan.

I know t mobile will insure your phone used or not, but they require you to sign up for it within 14 days of opening the plan/possible changing the phone.

but with them you can change the phone without hassle or a call to them so it might be when you open the plan.

Yup. When I was on metro I always kept a backup phone that I could use until I fixed my DD.

The thing is that most cracked screens can be fixed for cheaper than an insurance deductible would be and that's not including the monthly payment.

Nexus 4 OEM back glass can be bought for $15. Add in a blow dryer and 15 minutes and you've just saved a lot of money. But I forget that over half the nation is lazy Barry supporters that can't do anything without the government.

That Nsa guy is everywhere, But fuzz I get what you are saying when I was 14 I had an xbox when I was 16 it was starting to short out; so I opened her up seen what the issue was.my stepfather bought me a soldering iron and solder taught me the basics of soldering because it was cheaper than dropping 100 bucks on a new xbox(the original xbox guys) most people wouldn't had even opened it up most would had called microsoft and complained sent it off for a week to get it fixed, but I wasn't about that life i had kotor to play.

I'm an engineer for a living so all that stuff that involves fixing something with your hands is a turn on for me. Lol

When I was a kid I would tear stuff yo just so I could fix it.

But yeah insurance is just a money maker. They wouldn't offer it if they didn't benefit from it. Now, fixing the HTC one is out of the question. They say that sucker is tough to fix.

Yessir I do agree.

But being that the amount of thefts pales in comparison to damage, I was sticking to what's more likely to happen.

But I do concur. I for one have never lost or had a phone stolen so that wouldn't be my reasoning if I ever did get insurance.

i get handy all the time i used to always fix my own phones laptops and desktops, im an engineering major and i work with electric and gas rc cars as a hobby, i also buy and sell cars and do all kinds of mechanic cosmetic and body work on them by hand. i had a ballistic case on my s3 and while working on a car i dropped it and it land face first on a bolt which shattered the screen, i thought no big deal blow dryer should do the trick.i spent 2 hours, shards and dust of glass got everywhere even tho i had my dyson suckin up on the other end of the blow dryer. some of the shards wouldnt come off and i scratched the digitizer underneath eventually, besides the digitizer stopped working properly frok the time i dropped it. ya maybe a simple crack is fixable but when its shattered amd the digitizer isnt functioning well there is no hope. not to mention water damage or loss. my insurance replacement came the next day i ordered it.
5 a month isnt taking money from you its offering you peace of mind and saving u 550 or even 250 for a screen replacement for a $150 deductible. i love it and its one of the few insurance services that offer loss protection. much respect to metro and asurion ill never get a phone without insurance

well it wasnt easy to buy the screen and digitizer glued, its not as available as you may think because each carrier is different, i know verizon fits on ours but its still very hard to find one at that price. and to this day it is still more expensive than the deductible. dont forget that it covers loss and water damage which you cant do anything about no matter how handy you are. ive lost my esteem got a replacement and a connect. well worth the money

My phone was on for 19 days until I talked to the mgr that I went straight home from there. 5 min after leaving it went to v-mail (hmmmm?) Metro's total protection won't work w/o insurance and is only available when you buy the phone. I'm replacing it tomorrow. How many claims can I make before I'm denied to get my $$$ worth. I hate throwing good $$$ after bad.

Hopefully your not assuming I'm republican because of my dislike of Barry. Haha I loathe democrats and republicans equally and wouldn't claim either. I lean more towards libertarian even though technically it's classified as republican.

I'm not a religious person but because of common sense there's things from both sides I agree with and disagree with. Making your beliefs and views based solely upon what your party should "view" is stupid and is the reason we will never have a mutual bipartisan agreement on most things.
