LMAO

IOWA-Your insane, jealous hate for Apple has led you to make all kinds of ridiculous posts, this being the worst yet maybe. You would actually buy that piece of crap? LMFAO! Where do you use that thing? At a desk, which pretty much makes it a DESKTOP! Good luck walking around and actually using that thing, I would love to see someone try. Not to mention it looks ridiculous. Lets not forget the "ThinkPad-style pointing stick" which will drive anyone crazy trying to use on the go. Another epic fail, but keep posting them :)

Yes I am insane. So are the people who prefer qwerty sliders as their phone. Same as All the commenters on engadget who like it as well. If you really feel insane, why does apple offer a keyboard for ipad? It would be no harder to carry than an ipad, an, actually easier if you add the keyboard into the mix. A lot better than the vitrua board

Yea, well I don't get that either. If you are going to sit at a desk with a keyboard hooked up to the iPad, it defeats the purpose of it's portability and touch screen experience. Might as well just use a laptop or desktop.

Failure post. Comparing a sliding tablet/netbook/laptop to a desktop. People use laptops on desks, that doesn't make them desktops. I can show you a desktop if you're that clueless.

Ok, so based on that reasoning. An ipad is no more portable than a netbook or laptop. What's the purpose of the underperforming ipad again?

Portability and functionality for me. As I said in another thread, I had my headphones plugged into my iPad while walking down the street in San Francisco while online and typing. Can't do that with a laptop or netbook can you? I was standing in on a long line the other day while on my iPad, can't do that with a laptop or netbook can you? I am typing this right now while sitting on the toilet (seriously) can't do that with a laptop or netbook can you? I also use it in the car, walking on the beach, at the mall...places you either can't use a laptop or netbook or it's too difficult to lug around and convieneantly use a 7+ pound device. You get it now?

Lol I can see it now. "Ipad causes motorist to lose control of vehicle" or "pedestrian using ipad waks into pole, tries to sue city"

All this sounds quite fabricated to me. Walkings without looking where your going is. A real talent! you've already lost the functionality argument. And now your making stuff up. Lame.

Not making anything up there genius. How many people a day do you see walking the streets staring at their phones? I see tons. Much easier to see a 10 inch screen then a 3-4 inch one  I dont use it while driving kid. I use it at stoplights or when sitting in traffic. Again, try either of those with a laptop or netbook. I gave several valid uses for an iPad and you know it. So since you cant argue it, you have to resort to trolling once again and accuse me of making things up.

What kind of netbooks are you using?

I just thought of something. If the ipad is only good for internet related stuff, how do you walk down the street with your ipad claiming to be using it when there's no 3g models out yet?

With my Sprint Overdrive in my bag....Not only that, but I was at Union Square in San Francisco which has about a million wifi spots to pick up on including in the park itself.

I like it for alot more than internet. The games I have are awesome and look great on the big screen. I have about 12 books I can read, I have pianist pro on there as well as about 6 HD movies.

Be careful on sunny days - iPad reportedly overheating

Don't worry, Apple made this thing so you couldn't hurt yourself while walking outside. It just overheats and shuts down. (at 70 degree weather).

lol I have a very difficult time believing you now from this post. And anyways, you can do ALL of that from umm... a smartphone, which is far more portable and far more convenient than an iPad and isn't really any slower at rendering pages. Yet another reason why an iPad isn't necessary. Oh and btw, I am typing all of this from sitting on the toilet with my laptop (seriously). That part of your post has the be the most hilarious thing I've read on these forums. How does it make it easier to type on a iPad that it is on a LAPtop while sittng? LMAO. Explain that one to me please since you can't even have the iPad conveniently facing right towards you without you having to bend over to look at the screen head on.

You have a smartphone with a 10 inch LED backlit screen that displays 1024x768? Wow!! Lets see it please! And yes, my iPad with its 1Ghz processor renders pages at least twice as fast as my Hero...Argue all you want kid, I am over being on the internet and straining my eyes to look at a tiny little 3 inch screen and typing on a tiny keyboard. You do what you want and have fun :)

Oh nope. I will have a smartphone will a 4.3" screen though. No shit that your iPad with its 1Ghz processor is faster than your Hero. Now compare it to the upcoming HTC Droid Incredible or HTC EVO 4G with their 1Ghz processor and see how much faster it is. It is stated to be only about 10-30% faster than the Snapdragon found on the latest phones, which is actually not that bad. While I walk around, I don't want to be glued to my iPad. I wouldn't be able to set it down anywhere without it getting stolen. I guess the iPad is for people who want to be constantly glued to a computer screen. I for one do not walk around the beach on my iPad because I go to the beach for an escape from the tech consumed world and back to nature. At least with a smartphone you can easily carry it in your pocket and walk around with both hands free. Ahh... well that was a lovely defecation. Time to take my LAPTOP off of my lap and go relax on the patio. TMI? Not in this case.

You have to admit, that was a bit of a mess up saying that you can't use a laptop or netbook while on the toilet, but with an iPad, you can. Try saying everything in that certain post to Apple and see if they agree when trying to use a Macbook Air, which is 1.5lbs heavier than an iPad. If that's far too heavy, then work out!
