make a backup to your external sdcard

Happy 4th of July!

This is the closest thing i can get us to Jelly Bean stock right now...further additions and modding will be done if i cant actually port the update to our phones. But for now, ill release this as is while i start syncing repos and start trying to port cm and/or 4.1.
make a backup to your external sdcard

Whats inside?
deodexed
debloated
better camera
google gallery
Quickpik
Sound Search for Google play
4.1 Mms.apk*********
4.1 Google keyboard
Jelly Bean wallpapers
Jelly Bean bootanimation
Adobe Flash
LMT
NexMusic
Holo Launcher HD
Holo Locker
build.prop tweaks
init.d support
optimized apps
zipaligned
superuser
busybox
no "MetroPcs" printed on lockscreen and notifications bar
does not break root

Bugs:
4.1 mms.apk from market does not work for us..so use mms fix attached.
If you want to keep updating Hololauncher HD, then youll have to download and install
another launcher app from the market, delete holo launcher, then re download it from the market.
ill address these issues in the next version of this rom soon enough

make a backup

Instructions
1. make a backup to your external sdcard
2. Download rom, and jbsmmsfix(attached at bottom)place it on your ext sdcard
3. boot into CWM recovery
If youre flashing over any Stock76 rom, then no data wipe necessary. But is recommended.
4. wipe data/cache
5. flash rom from ext sdcard
6. reboot system, set up your google account
7. If/when set up asks if you want to restore your data, click no. un check the box (at least thats what ive done)
8. for init d support, using a root browser, navigate to system/etc/initd.d and change permissions of folder to rwxrwxrwx (ill fix that eventually)
9. reboot into recovery.
10. flash the Jbsmmsfix
11. Restart. good to go.

since its deodexed, rom will take a few minutes to load. Be patient.
If it boots up, powers down, and reboots..thats fine. Means its working.
MMs.apk 4.1 does not seeem to be workin gright for our phone..so please use the jbsmmsfix attached until i can fix it.

* If you are going to flash stock76 rom over this, you should restore your backup first.

if youve been experienceing problems with it also, ive attached the original mms.apk here.
just got to system/apps in a root browser and change the name of mms.apk to mms.apk1.
then copy/paste the mms.apk ive attached to system apps. change the permissions like in the picture, then restart. ill make a flashable zip when i get back into windows but for now its the hard way. sorry for the inconvenience

Are NexMusic, Holo locker, and Holo launcher removable,or are they absolute musts for this build? Also are the metro/hw apps removed, or do we need to remove manually? Most of all...is Google Now working?
you can uninstall them, but before you uninstall the launcher, make sure you have another one already installed.
the only metro/hw app left is the 4g mobile hotspot app.
and no, google now wont work still. this is still 4.0 ics, just with jelly bean apps.

I just installed v4 - like yesterday [or the day before]? Is this ROM a replacement for v4? And, what do you mean about Google not working? I missed that somewhere...

This ROM is just another custom ROM. It's like v4 but it's trying to make the phone look like the newest version of Android.

He was talking about Google Now. Which is a pretty cool feature of Android 4.1.

Alright can somebody help me get back to stock. I know I should have made a back up but my phone doesn't let me. Anyway I wipe data and cache but it still goes back to this rom.

lol without a back up to restore..youre stuck on this rom, or you can flash stock 76 rom.
and just an fyi that i pointed out in other threads..our cwm recovery does not restore the /cust partition..so youll have to add stock bootanimations manually.

Why would you want to go back to stock?? ROM76 fixed all issues I was having with my phone's factory firmware. No more choppy audio/scrolling, and I like coming home from work with a battery that is still damn near full.

Anyway yeah, one of the first warnings listed would be to 'make a backup'. More importantly so on the Premia since Huawei doesn't offer a firmware download or updater/flash tool like LG does for their phones :(

my phone is stuck in a boot loop i can get into cwm and put a dif rom on but when i installed the rom it went to bootlogo shut down then back to boot logo and is sitting like that for over 40 mins this happend with both this rom and stock 76

Are you remembering to wipe data (factory reset), and cache prior to flashing? Have you tried a fresh download of the ROM zip placed on the SD card?
