Holy terrible speeds batman.

I don't know what is going on in the Atlanta area but everyone I know on Tmob including myself, have had their hspa speeds completely drop off.

Where I was getting 20+ with my N4, I'm now getting 5 to 8. Same goes for a dude I work with and his S4.

I don't know what's going on but is anyone else seeing a terrible drop off in speeds?

It looks like if that's constant and not an anomoly, then it looks like they've refarmed the area and thus shut of hspa+42. Those were closer to the speeds I got on HSPA+21. If they're refarming, that means they're working on LTE deployment.

Should be legit. Don't know how long it will take for LTE signal to start popping up, but it certainly is a good sign. Granted speeds will be slow until they do fire it up. You would probably have to leave ST and get true T-Mobile though if you want to use it though.

Interesting. I'm a hair south of that map. But it pops up in certain spots at the house but I have no bars.

Guess I'll have to add a few bucks to the tmob sim and fire it up when I get off work and see.

Day 2 and speeds have risen some, up to 9mbps.

Yesterday it got so bad I couldn't get above 3.

Tried LTE in my area yesterday and didn't notice any changes. :/

TBH, 9 mb/s isn't bad at all. No one really requires anything faster than that for your basic usage (web browsing, streaming content, and/or downloading large files).

No it isn't bad. But that isn't the point. The point is or the concern I should say, is that where I was getting 20+, I'm now getting 3 to 9.

The reason I chose tmob over att was because of +42. I kept tmob because of the speeds and sacrificed indoor coverage.

But yes, 9 gets the job done very well. But that wasn't the issue.

I look at it this way, we are here on the ground floor, while they build up you have to expect hiccups, and even the occasional brick falling when they are done the system should be good.

I'm betting they are making one final LTE push across the country before officially announcing all the new markets at tomorrow's big event. Last I checked sensorly, I even saw some LTE light up in Lawton, OK. That's a good sign. this roll out is moving FAST!!!! Big thing I'm hoping for is for them to get to work lining the major interstates with it.

I'm in OKC and LTE has been pretty awesome here. So far I've have it about 80-90 percent of the time. I'm hoping signal strength and frequency of reception will get even better once they make it official.
