and the new upgrade when you want plan 10 bucks a month wait 6 months and upgrade when you want basically. with out contract extensions.

Whoa. Is that one upgrade within 6 months without extension, or can you do a full 4 upgrades over the 2 year contract without extending? If you can upgrade 4 times, you can sell phones new in the box for hundreds of dollars.
Also what happens at the end of the contract? Can you keep upgrading every 6 months while on month to month?

Why are you leaving? Where are you going?

He's going to the Dark Side

Verizon :(

I assume it's because they have a sweet ass (expensive) network.

Damn shame too, since I was looking forward to see how his rom will progress. Oh well.

And as far as Verizon is concerned, besides them being too expensive, I've been hearing some somewhat controversial things about them lately...

here ya go Phone Upgrade Twice a Year | Just Upgrade My Phone | JUMP! | T-Mobile from what i read it is 10 bucks a month which is also the phone insurance. if you trade in a phone broken then the deductible applies. any unpaid balance is waived but you dont get refunded on the old phone.

I thought you were talking about Verizon. I was taking about Verizon, so I assumed you were too. Also tmobile has that non-subsidized thing going on, so this seems awkward to me. I skimmed the terms briefly but didn't spend much time. Do you give them your old phone when you upgrade? The way I see it, if you aren't buying subsidized phones, you can upgrade anytime (every week if you want)...after you pay off your current phone at $20 per month or all at once if you want out.

you do turn in your old phone then they way any remainder balance and you start on your new phone. some carriers used to extend you even when you paid out right for the phone it happened to me back in the day under cingular wireless.
