I friend of mine has a dell laptop, and when she tries to boot up her laptop it goes to a black screen. Now I can put it in safe mode and restore it to an earlier date after running a virtues scan. But, after returning it to normal I get the black screen again. Im thinking about removing bear share, frost wire and spyware, then running a full scan and trying that.

Does anyone else have any advice? Thank you.

Try creating a new user profile in safe mode, and see if that'll load.

Mighy have better success reinstalling the OS if that's an option. Its what I do whenever I bork up my system, just delete my previous OS and start all over

I also suggest re-installing the OS just to be on the safe side, especially if it's got something like Bearshare or Frostwire. It should have come with a recovery CD/DVD, if not Dell would probably supply one for a nominal fee.

Solving this problem aside, it might be a good time to tell your friend that some of these programs/files can be a bit 'bad'. ;)

Oh I told her. I download a bear share removal program to my flash and I will try to load it on her laptop. Bear share is not that easy to uninstall. I believe that is the main problem. But hey thanks a lot guys.;)
