Help sync issues

i posted a thread about syncing my contacts and locating them on my computer because i cant find them on my laptop anywhere. So i guess the answer is no.

They're not on your computer, but Gmail.com...
Sign into you Gmail account...in the upper left corner under Google you will see Gmail...click the arrow & choose Contacts.

ive begrudgingly created a gmail account and still the contacts wont sync.i still cant find my contacts on my laptop

When you say you created a gmail account, what do you mean? It essentially already existed. Your Gmail account should be the same as your login to your Android. Again, that is the account where contacts will be synced to. So when you go to gmail in your browser, you should be putting in the same username (email) and password you used to initialize your android.

no idea, where do i find them on my laptop.I've been use to Nokia's and they didn't have all these 3rd party apps and stuff,it was just there and worked, well until they tried to get technical haha, hence me coming over to android.
P.S.,im a bricklayer and nothing techy

If you go to the Hotmail website and try and look at your contacts, are they there?

Note that you will need to check the gmail (or maybe googlemail) account that was used when you set up your phone.

To find out what this was go into Settings and under Accounts, tap Google. The top section of the next screen is Accounts and this shows the account name your phone is using and whether sync is turned on or off.

If you tap the gmail/googlemail address you will get a number of options, one of which is Contacts with the note Touch to sync now. Touch it to sync now.

Once you've done that, you can go to your computer, fire up a browser, log into gmail using the account name you found above and you should be able to find your contacts. Can't tell you how to do that coz I rarely use gmail so can't recall where to find contacts - unfortunately, finding things in gmail is a complete PITA.

Not so bad. At the top left, there is a drop down arrow next to "Gmail" the drop down list lets you chose between Gmail, Contacts and Tasks.

Starred contacts are contacts you had as Favorites.

Is there anyway of finding them through Hotmail as i never use gmail and all my other email/stuff is on Hotmail.
