Alarm time on the desktop

Hi folks.

Just bought a new mobile phone – a $149 HTC Medion E4002 from Aldi. It replaces my $65 Ideos U8150 which was also from Aldi. Yes, I'm a cheapskate and very happy with what cheap phones give me, which is everything I need.

The OS of the two phones:
Ideos - Android 2.2
Medion - Android 4.1.1

When activated the Ideos would show the next Alarm time on the desktop, but the Medion just shows the Clock icon, which has to be tapped to display the next alarm time. Not a big deal I know, but I really would like to have the next appointment time showing right there on the desktop. Any suggestions?

Try other clock widgets. Several can be used. Or check your default widget set. My phone came with an alarm widget.

Yes, I know there are a lot to choose from, but that's the problem – too many!

There are a couple of clock type widgets built-in, but no alarms.

I was hoping to narrow it down to trying just a few that others were using and were happy with.

You download it from the Play Store. I can't think of a widget with alarm off hand since I never looked for one, but you can just go to Play Store and search for 'alarm widget'

Silly rofl... since I'm viewing it in edit mode, that means I already have it installed. :p

I want to know where the option is located in UCCW for showing the alarm. You can see what I have and where the time is on mine in my screenshot. I want to add the alarm under it after I've nudged everything up a bit.

I cannot find this setting when viewing the time in edit mode... can you tell me exactly where it is?

Ok. In edit mode, top left there is the +- button to add items. About 3/4 down the list you will see it. Right after "image" and "Gmail". You should see "Next Alarm Time".

Hope you find it.

You can also play with UCCW. You can make a your own clock widget and have it show your next alarm.

This app does everything.
Interesting suggestion. I wasn't planning on developing my own widget, but the idea has aroused my curiosity. Will take a look at UCCW.

And yes, I have made one already!

Bare bones and a bit primitive at the moment, but it does what it's supposed to. When time permits I'll tidy it up and maybe extend it a little.

Thanks for the tip

I did, just a few minutes ago. Came here to let you know. It was right there in front of me, and I must of looked at it six times lol.

Thank you for taking the time to type out the steps to locate it!!!
