I'm still working on what ROM I want on the phone. In the mean time, I've got a new laptop running 7 pro 64 bit.

I read a post about installing on a 7 system:
Guanxin: noParking!: Installing Nexus 4 ADB drivers on Windows 7 x64.

The phone is already rooted. Did it on an XP laptop. Haven't seen that part of rooting covered yet - rooted phone on one system (XP) and changed system (7) after rooting phone.

I need to know exactly what I need, etc. if I install the toolkit. I just need to back up so I can install another ROM. I have Titanium Backup.

I also need some info on Super User. There was an update a couple of months back, and when it installed, it screwed up the phone so I uninstalled the update and haven't updated it since.

Thanks

Reading your post, I just realized that I don't have SuperUser or SuperSU on my phone. Weird, since it has root access, and apps pop up and ask for access.

Anyway... I'm confused why you would need to connect to PC to backup? Backup is in recovery, and you can upload to Box/Dropbox/etc if needed... All from the phone. Maybe I just misunderstood your post... I did previously try to install Wugz Toolkit on a Windows 8 with no luck, had to use an XP laptop.

I back up everything. If I back the phone up to the computer and change the ROM, then the backup is there where I can find it. I can also backup the backup. I've lost files and folders by using only one system.

I got Superuser when I first rooted an SGS4G. It's still there in play, and I think it's associated with Titanium Backup.

I can't seem to set up a connection from ES File explorer to Dropbox.

Maybe you had the same problem with WUGS that the blogger described.

I'm not sure what I'd get. I've disabled all of MS security and installed my preferences in security. I have virtual XP on this laptop also. Have to see if that works.

Check the settings right near the developer options you probably have an entry that says super user.

Some custom roms have a different super user setup its not an app like your used to.
