Help Lightflow

Anyone else having trouble with lightflow? I have not been able to get notifications the way I want it. Right now I have a new e-mail in GMail that's flashing blue even though I've set it as green in lightflow. The vibration is also long and I've set it at short.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've never used light flow so I can't comment on that one...
If it keeps giving you hassles, you might try Light Manager.
I've been using it for a while now and haven't had any problems with the light staying on or not being the correct color. Im not sure if it supports vibration control or not though. It's a much smaller application but works very well for my needs.

I can't do much to help you troubleshoot, but LightFlow is working great for me. I only have it activated to handle the notification light. And then for ringtone, I leave it for default application.

I couldn't get LightFlow to behave properly either (it could have been me, not it).
However LightManager was easy to set up and is working just like I think it should.

No problem.
Light Manager is pretty basic, but works very well imho.
There are alot more options available to it if you're rooted,(which I am not)
but even the standard controls are plenty for me.

One thing about the S4 that really erks me IS the LED ITSELF!
IMO, it is just too dim straight out of the box.
Light Manager allows you to increase the brightness a bit,
but it's still a pretty wimpy LED in comparison to EVERY other phone I've owned.
Kinda strange to put such a dull LED on a powerful device like the S4.
And it really has nothing to do with the size either.
I have any even smaller LED on my BluAnt Q3 earpiece, and that thing is BRIGHT AS HELL!
Alot of it probably has to do with the "Black Mist" coating that runs over the top of it.
That was a pretty stupid design!
If you know your LED is sub-par, why make it worse by covering it with that "Black Mist" crap????
At least leave the LED un-coated so the user can get the most out of it as possible.
And speaking of design....
I don't like the placement either.
On the front of the screen?
That makes the notification LED completely useless if you have your phone face down.
I would much rather have seen a side or top mounted LED that was brighter.

Lightflow works fine on my S4.

I don't know why it doesn't on yours but there is no fundamental incompatibility between Lightflow and the S4.

Lightflow and S4 did have an issue (Samsung's implementation of accessibility services would cause the phone to start speaking "checkbox checked" or something like that when accessibility services for lightflow was enabled).

After the recent update (on my Sprint S4 - MF9 update), this problem has not recurred, so I guess that has been fixed.

The colour mixing quality of the LED leaves a lot to be desired, Samsung could have done a better job here. If I choose purple as the colour, the led is blue with a red tinge in the corner.

Does everyone else see this flaw or is it just me?

I agree. Apart from the fact that the LED is somewhat anaemic, the colours don't really appear as billed. After my initial reaction of thinking it was rather nifty that the LED could display a wide range of colours I started to realise that they didn't really look like I would expect nor was the colour consistent over the whole LED.

Still, it's better the my previous phone. The S2 didn't have an LED at all.

The RGB LED in this phone is quite chitty. :smokingsomb:
Bleeds all over itself.
Maybe that's a sign Sammy...
If it's bleeding all over,
just kill it already and use one that is decent.
