Are you getting a 1 or 2 year contract?

One year. Just look at how incredible a two year phone is then imagine how advanced phones will be just next year. I'm on the pay for new every year not the new in two.

Hey i am planning on doing 1 year also...did you pre-order it from bb or verizon?
And how much total? I'm trying to find out the difference between bb and verizon for 1 year contract pre-orders.

Thanks!

2 year-- because it is an advanced phone, and expensive, I'd likely be happy with it for two years before I'd want a new one.
I have a two year on my LG VX8350, which I liked when it came out, but now I can't stand two years later (and have hated for the past year). It seems ancient. The DI will still be a great phone in two years.

One year.
Verizon has a weird pricing scheme where they sell the incredible (and other phones too, for that matter) for $200 off with a 1-year and $269 off with a 2-year. And the 1-year contract will be up sooner which means you'll be able to upgrade again in just a year.

Basically, I'll be spending an extra $69 so that I can save another $200 in only a year's time, as opposed to saving another $269 in two year's time.
Or i can sign myself up for another 1-year and buy a lame phone that I can sell for more than $69. And then I make my money back.

I'm going 2-year and here's why. After 12 months, I'm eligible to get a new phone at two year pricing (it's called an Early Upgrade, normally there's a $20 fee to do it, but that's waived if you buy online from the VZW store). Also, I have the benefit of this, if there's no phone I'm interested in at the 12 months point, I can wait and still upgrade at two year pricing at any time until I'm at 20 months at which point I get my NE2 discount on top of the two year price. By the way, Early Upgrades are available to any line under a 2 year contract that has an individual access cost of 34.99 or higher, i.e. single line plans, familyshare primary lines, and unlimited talk familyshare secondaries.

So... You're really paying $69 to upgrade two months before me. I'm not seeing any other real benefit there.

My Plan is to go one year. I do not plan on buying insurance so the warranty should take through the first year and if it is lost, stolen or breaks I will have a smaller risk being one year. Plus I am sure some buy it for what I paid so they will not need to be on contract and that could possibly pay for the latest phone that is out at the time.

I agree with SailingMaster. I spoke to a CSR last night and it sounds like a 2 year contract works out better, because you still get the option to upgrade at 12 months using what they call the early upgrade. CSR told me it's only $20 to use this early upgrade. SailingMaster says that is waived if you buy online- even better!

So as he stated..do the 2 year- if there's a phone you're lusting for after the 12 months, use the early upgrade option. If not, wait and get your NE2.

Is there any fine print missing with this? Sounds too good to be true.

Looking online my "Corporate Discount" just replaces the "online discount", the difference being I can go to the local corporate store and get the "Corporate price", phone in hand and not have to deal with the mail in rebate. This may be what I do if wirefly doesn't have it any cheaper starting the 29th... Droid was only $99 there to start so we'll see.

As for contract. I too am going with the 2yr. I have had Verizon for years and don't plan on switching. I have also done the "Annual Upgrade" so I don't see a reason for only 1 year contract. 2 years is nice with the added benefit of the NE2 at the end.

I went online for corporate price and it would let me pre-order, my rep hasn't responded to my emails and isn't answering her phone.
