Help Help required - Playing video on Galaxy Tab 2 7"

Hi

I have the Tab 2 7".

I am transferring some avi movies i have onto the tab but some of them are not playing. It states that it is unable to play.

I have tried converting the videos to mp4 but they are still not playing.

I have used aimersoft and anyvideoconverter but the aimersoft appears to work but it puts a watermark in the middle of the screen and I have to buy it to remove the watermark.

Can anyone help me with this problem I am having please? is there a video converter that has the preset settings for the tab 2 7" that is free? AVC only converts it for 3 minutes as a trial and then asks you to buy.

I have tried the stock video player and MX player. I also have some avi files on the tab that are working perfectly so no idea whats going on

You're not going to find anything that has presets for every tab/phone on the market.

It is easy to use however. The least you could do is google it and find out whether it's a converter or not. It took me longer to reply here than it would take you to do that, so do a little leg work of your own...

I thought the whole point of these forums is to get expert advice from people who have experience so you don't have to go and do loads of leg work. This is why I have posted on here as a last resort as all my searching didn't get me anywhere as mentioned previously

I gave you the name of the software to search for, but that's fine, now you have a link.

I've downloaded the software and it has been converting for over an hour now and only a quarter of the way through. Is this normal?? It seems excessive.

Its finally downloaded after 4 hours and it still doesn't play. I used super and selected the android tablet option.

Can anyone help?

I have downloaded and tried it on dice player and mobo player but still doesnt play.

So I thought I would try put it onto my phone (galaxy S2) and it plays as a avi without the need to convert. Does anyone have any ideas??????

I really want it on my tab and they are both samsung galaxy so whats going on?

I use Handbrake, and found settings to use that are good for the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, but I haven't a laptop at the moment and can't tell you what they are at the moment.
