Help Auto Rotate Screen

Hello All I do not know if anybody has faced problems regarding this and would be grateful to have any advice.

My Note 2 sometimes does not do Auto Rotate screen although it is enabled. No matter how long I hold it, it would not just rotate. I reboot the device and when I try to auto rotate it works no problem.

I have tried disabling the auto rotate feature and re-enable it again but it does not help.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Many people have this problem including me. The bug was introduced with 4.1.2 multi windows update. You can temporary fix it but going to a screen that has a keypad or keyboard. I usually use the Phone screen with the dial pad. You could also fix it by doing a phone reset. Some people download rotation app to manually rotate their screens. I do all 3 of the above. It is a very annoying bug.

Thanks a lot for your advice. Would you know by any chance there are any updates scheduled to fix this? I would think Note 2 would be a prime candidate to viewed horizontally so would have thought a fix to be released by Android to address this?

mine seems to be bahaving since latest update to xdmf1 firmware a couple of weeks ago, but was using a rotate app. very annoying. a restart fixes the problem. (switch off then back on)
