hey i have samsung galaxy s3 sgh-i747m which takes forever to charge, about 10 -15 hrs! firstly i thought it was the battery so i replaced it and it still didnt work then maybe i thought it could be the port on the phone and nope thats not the case either and when the phone gets charged fully the battery suddenly just drops to half around 52% in a matter of minutes. so then i took out the battery and put it in another s3 which showed that the battery is actually at 99% so ive been going crazy for the past week trying to figure out whats wrong! can you please repair this ? oh and ive also tried a hard reset and even deleted the cache changed the cable the plug tried everything i could possibly do but to no avail! Thanks in advance!

P.S i have had this phone for about a year with no problems i dont know why this is starting to happen all of a sudden.

Look for something like Battery Calibration on Play Store. even if they say they require root, i think thats only to do it automaticly.
So basicly you fully charge the battery (leave it a couple of extra hours just to be sure) then use the app to wipe the phones battery stats. Then let the battery fully discharge until the phone shuts down then fully charge it once more. That should recalibrate it so that the phone knows what voltage is 100%

Try Battery Calibration by NeMa

Right sorry man. In the description it says you can force it but maybe that requires root access(?)
On a rooted phone you can just wipe the battery stats without an app. I dont get why it isnt letting you tbh. Maybe try another app

yeah another app said the same so i guess thats not a solution and im currently waiting for the battery to drain and its been at 1% for about 3 hrs which shows that the battery had originally charged to 100% the indicator is just incorrect aaha but since its at 1% the camera and many other features arent accessible, are there any other possible ways to fix this?

Maybe the phone just isnt letting you use high power apps like the camera because it "thinks" the battery is about to die.
The fact that its been at 1% for 3hr makes me think its definately the battery stats (calibration) thats off so youre gona have to either find a way to wipe those stats or wait until the phone eventually "learns" your battery again (meaning a lot of charge?discharge cycles)
