Anyone checking out "Under The Dome" on CBS? The pilot episode is very good! Tune in NOW!
First episodewas good. Plots set, good guys and villains have claimed their stakes. Looking forward to next Sunday
Watched it but I thought it was too short, if that makes any sense. They should have done a 2 hour pilot.
I didn't even know it was based on a Steven King novel. Good thing is I have amazon prime and they will replay it on AP throughout the season
Isn't it on Monday nights? I think last night was a replay

Except . . . we do not know if the guy burying the body in the opening scenes is good or bad. I like not knowing.
I made an effort to watch it. Same old, same old. Been there and done that. Nothing new to offer except predictable banality. Man cut off from the rest of the world is an old plot line. Still effective.
Except . . .
Appatrently, no communicatio0ns between police and studio:
"A deadly serious deputy made an urgent radio call to his dispatcher, sounding the alarm that 20 shots were fired near an elementary school ... and TMZ has the audio.
The incident went down in Wilmington, N.C. last week, when a TV production crew -- working on a Stephen King show, "Under the Dome" -- staged a shootout scene in a park near the school. The shots were fake, but no one clued in police or school officials ... and they treated it like the real deal.
Pretty scary. "

Just ask Homer and Marge about the dome over Springfield.
I thought a few scenes were interesting, but every scene in the promos took place in the first few moments of the film. I hope it gets better.

If it follows the book, I can ruin the mystery of Dale Barbara.....but I won't.

You are right, its Mondays. And I thought the same about a special 2 hour pilot. I was expecting the previews shown at the end of the episode would lead into the second hour. That would have been an even better hook on viewers for sure and made the first telecised episode(s) more memorable .
How do you like the the plot so far?
Not bad. Too early to tell. It reminds me a little like "Jericho", which I thought was a good show that didn't get enough support from CBS.
I wanna see it..... Missed it twice. Is there an app I can download to watch the first two before next Monday? Love Stephen movies!
From what I've seen, so far it is so so...I don't think it's as good as the Twilight Zone.
I love Stephen King but this is sometimes a problem with his books. It's like he gets to the end and then gets stumped so just tosses something out there. 'IT' comes to mind, a spider? Really. That was a page turner for me and I was so disappointed, such a let down. 'The Dome' was too, not in the same page turner way as 'IT' and others, but a let down at the end.I hope they come up with a better ending than the book had.
Watched the first four episodes on demand. It's not bad so far, following the book pretty closely from what I remember. I won't spoil anything, but I'll just say I hope they come up with a better ending than the book had.

Same here, love King but he is notorious for his sometimes bad endings. To me the ending of Dome is up there with "it was all a dream" as far as cop out endings go.
