Hello Everyone, I'm considering purchasing this phone via the prepaid option however I have read some user reports that the phone randomly reboots when using Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Has anyone experienced that issue here at the forums? I wish to try the prepaid option but I'm not aware of any other phones that use Sim cards. All the other phones seem to be CDMA.

Welcome to the forums, Androidnewbie (you'll have to change your user name after a while ;)).

Anyway, the JB reboot issue is being reported across many Android devices, and the remedy seems to be a factory data reset right away. I recommend also shutting the device down first, then removing the battery, sd card and SIM card then waiting a minute or so prior to the reset.

Don't bother to power up once you've put the battery and cards back in; just hold down the home + power + volume up keys until the white "...galaxy..." letters appear on the screen, then quickly release all three buttons.

Once the blue recovery menu appears, navigate to the factory reset item using the volume down key, then press power and let it happen.

Once done it'll highlight on the "reboot now" item, press power again. That's it. :)

Thank you. I like the design of the phone which is why i'm considering the phone. It reminds me of the S3 & S4 although I don't think the phone is worth $250.00, more like $149.00

I have not had these issues with this phone. I have had abouy 4 phones that I tried that I did not care for and finally chose the express due to the service provider. It has been working great for me. Had it for about 1 month. I recommend it . BTY, I bought a s3 and hated it due to price and lack of battery life. All phones I have tried were prepaid no contract and returned them within the trial time. This is what they consider the sister of the s3. I also have a galaxy 10 tablet which I love. Don't care for apple products. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I was reading on their website that every time you make a call with the GoPhone plan; money is automatically deducted from your balance after making a call. If that's the case, how can you have unlimited calls with the $60 plan if the money is deducted from your balance each time you make a call?
