Root [International] Question about cyanogenmod for s3

In general, AOSP ROM's (such as cyanogenmod) use less RAM idle then ROMs such as touchwiz (what your phone came with) and sense (which HTC phones come with).

However, something to remember is that RAM is rarely an issue. Android functions well when the RAM is almost full because it means that it has many things cached for quick access. The only time you need to worry about how much RAM your UI uses is if you are having issues multitasking effectively.

And as for storage, i think CM uses about the same as TW
PS can i just throw in a recommendation.. illusion rom for gt-i9300 (and the US variants). It has all the best bits of CM, AOKP, PA etc but still manages to be smaller than CM somehow

AOSP uses way less of your internal storage than touchwiz.

You likely just wont notice, because x amount is reserved for the system anyway, and not user apps.

Funky, is the i9300 the international version? I'll move this to an atr sub forum once you get back to me
