I don't have recovery( nor do I know what it is, sorry) and I didn't make a back up
can you go into detail on what you did? i'm not very familiar with your phone, but knowing what happened might help.

ok going forward anytime you root your phone, always look to see if there are any custom recoveries for your phone. a recovery is like a mini os on your phone. android phones are divided into three parts: system(android os), bootloader, and recovery. the recovery is where the magic happens. it allows you to make a nandroid backup. a nandroid backup is like a complete snapshot of your phone. if you mess up or something goes wrong you can always restore back to a previous point. it also allows you to flash custom roms, mods, tweaks, and themes.

in AF and most other forums, there are what we call stickies. these are usually threads that are important. here is one of them:http://androidforums.com/elite-all-things-root/620742-faq-guide-clockworkmod-optimus-elite.html

well I rooted my phone and tried changing the battery icon to an ICS battery icon and it said I had to reboot my phone so when I rebooted it, it just got stuck in the lg boot logo.

I downloaded the correct drivers and now everything is good :) my phone is back up and running! Thanks so much for the help!

oh nice!!!!!!!!!

glad you are back in business. next time make sure that you get a custom recovery so that you can make a nandroid backup. that way you have something to fall back on if anything like this happens again.
