[Verizon] Stock Rooted 4.3

For those who want it, I will try to get a stock rooted 4.3 rom for toro up by the end of the night. Someone may beat me to it, but I'll still post a version. It will go in this post, so stay tuned.

I gave up trying jhawk. There's always that "one guy" on xda that will get it out first. Probably has a 16 core liquid cooled processor with 64 gigs of ram making our quad cores look like Ford Pintos.

I had a booting version of it, but I ran into issues with SuperSU seeing the root binary for some reason.

Restoring apps via Titanium now. Need to change backup/restore location to /storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup or it won't work right on 4.3. So far, so good. Haven't really had time to play around much but hopefully it'll be as zippy as everyone else is reporting thus far.

May be a gnex specific thing, but I got it working in sdcard/titanium backup on my nexus 7

Could be. Looks like other Gnexers are seeing the same thing as me. As for the 4.3...I'm going with a meh. Doesn't seem any different to me and the latest Paranoid nightly was every bit as zippy. I'll probably stay on it for a few days though just to say I did.

Native email app isn't playing well "unfortunately exchange services has stopped" errors regularly although clearing them and keeping on doesn't hurt anything. One thing that is working way better is the Play Store. That whole experience bogged down my phone on every JB rom I've been on. That lag is gone finally. Downloads and installs smoke on this.

I installed the linked 4.3 from XDA... pretty nice. Can't create exchange accounts though, so if it's a daily driver for your job be warned on that one.

Yeah the exchange services seems to glitch even when it shouldn't be in use. I was getting error messages from it while on the Twitter app now and then. My data/network got randomly disconnected while on this also. I gave up for the time being. Not steady enough to be my daily.

Anyone using Swiftkey or Dropbox? Swiftkey says unable to load language pack because of network error and dropbox says that storage is full or unavailable. I can stream music just fine so I don't have a network issue. It's the only issues I've seen besides the exchange issue.

I'm back on it since the 29th release and it's going better. Still have the "exchange" errors but I don't use exchange so I figured out freezing exchange 5.0 via Titanium has solved the problem, or at least stopped the error messages entirely. I'm still picking around on this but it appears to be steady enough to be my daily now. Still a no go for exchange users however.

No on Swiftkey but yes on Dropbox. Not having any problems with Dropbox, storage is being recognized. I did not check on the previous version however so something could have been fixed on the newest build, not sure.

If that's the analogy, I'm running a Corvaire with my old dual core .
