Hello all.

Just wanted to make a thread to see what everyone likes and dislikes about their new or old Premia.

For me..

Likes:
Decent CPU
Not very glitchy
Never randomly restarts
Decent speed
Durable
Gorilla Glass

Dislikes:
Battery life (Before I rooted)
Bloatware (Before I rooted)
No JB update (Could happen who knows)
Certain really good apps just do not work
Ugly body make

Please list your own, would love to hear from other fellow Premia users! :D

Likes:
Nice screen
decent internal sd
Stock swapable memory

Dislikes:
Daily reboot and freezing
Crap battery.
Weird 4g don't wanna work sometimes bull poop
Speaker volume
Headset Jack sounds muffled.

I've had some issues with the speaker as well. It was mostly distortion from it being to high though.

I've never noticed the Headset Jack sounding muffled though.. Care to explain that to me?

Likes:
- Fast CPU dual core 1.5 Ghz
- Decent size 4 inch screen
- Decent amount of RAM 1GB
- Unlocked bootloader
- Notification light
- Good for gaming no lag (GTA Vice City, Max Payne, Dead Trigger)

Dislikes:
- Outdated OS ICS
- Bad stock battery (extended battery available)
- low pixel density 233 ppi (adjusting LCD density to 200 makes it look a little bit better)
- Extremely small internal storage (but don't matter if you have a 32GB micro sd card and Titanium Back up)
- Small community with small amount of development

Lol. I'm a musician I play what most call grunge. With punk and grunge music it doesn't matter what headset I use it sounds like I'm listening from inside a cardboard box. It's not an illusion I've had it confirmed by many of my friends including studio producers and other bands.

Also, my coolpad quatro has a louder clearer speaker. Much much louder speaker phone too. I can hear the coolpad over a Cummings 5.7 diesel engine and the premia gets over powered by anyone else talking.

I don't know if I can agree. My phone randomly restarts about once or twice a day.

My phone never restarted, so I'm not sure what you did with your phone to mess it up. But that's not the phones fault I had mine since it came out not one random restart. I am running NumberTwo ROM with some of my own modifications to it.

If I were you I would factory reset the phone. If the problem still continues replace it for which there might be a small fee if its 30 days after you bought it.

I've never noticed that myself. As for the speaker, well for mine at least, it can be to loud and over power people talking lol.

Loud enough to hear over a diesel engine? Probably not for mine lol. That coolpad must be extremely loud.

I rooted mine Thursday via framaroot. Before that I got daily reboots on all three premias that I got brand new without mods of any sort.
After the second replacement I figured it was just the phone

Well from your other post you removed the /cust folder which is needed while trying to remove bloatware. In that if you do stuff in that category no wonder your phone restarts. I have 2 of these phones I just bought my girlfriend the same phone rooted, recovery and no restarts.

No, all issues were on non rooted. Please re read the first couple sentences.

Keep in mind that I don't own a pc so I couldn't root until Thursday when I used framaroot out of desperation.

I'm sure it's an issue I've had before with other phones. It seems that sometimes a batch is made that just never seems to work right. It happened with the Huawei m835, ascend, ascend 2, Samsung galaxy attain 4g, lg optimus m and now the premia.

In the past 3-4 years I've come across multiple phones of those models that either don't like overclock or just never seem to work right.

That said, I have had NO reboots since I went and debloated the phone and removed a ton of ringtones and other stuff that I always dump off my phones once rooted.
As far as the cust "folder" I have been made aware of the fact that it's a partition so you can accidentally "delete" it but all you do is temporarily delete the flag that let's you see it in a root explorer. So no harm done.

Can't say I ever had this issue but I did remove all bloatware the first day we got root. Before that I only used the phone for calling / texting, so from what your saying after heavy or long usage the bloatware and all other crap might have caused the phone to crash.

I just did a factor reset. I am also running the NumberTwo ROM. It also has been happening to me even before I started to flash different ROMS.

I would look into why it does that. That's not common with this phone.
I've tried Googling the problem but I couldn't find anything about it. But I've seen one user on the forums experiencing the same problem as I.

I'm pretty sure it's a manufacturing issue with a bad batch. Depending on the size of the batch we may see more of the phones rebooting. Though metro and Huawei have a horrible record for reporting these happenings.
If you want Google "lazy ascend" to see how bad it can be. They had to make two different oc kernels because of the prevalence of phones that wouldn't take a full oc and got bootlooped

P.s.
If I recall correctly my phone was made in April.

How can we tell when our phones were made? Im going to save my money and buy myself an unlocked Note II so I may keep this one as a back up or guinea pig for devs. Not sure yet.

Im very pleased with this phone so far, especially after coming from the Motion. 24hrs after purchasing and Im running a fast, lightweight custom rom (thanks to yall) and have had a far smoother time with less bugs than my previous phone.
-The 1gig of Ram is giving me less force closes, especially when running multiple tasks at a time. In fact I havent had an out of memory error at all yet.
- Its still compact, but not so much that my manhands are constantly typing errors AND I can see what the hell is on the screen while typing! (That got old fast, LG)
- Again having to do with the screen, but that little extra space makes it play nice with more programs, games and websites.
- My signal strength and call quality are outstanding. I almost always have 3 or 4 bars of 4g, and voices come across clear and lifelike.
- I like the led battery indicator and that I can program it to act as a specialized notification.
-GPS locks on like a champ.
,...............
Not so hot:
Cheap materials.
Only 2gigs of internal sd, I just filled that puppy up today
Speaker kinda sounds like crap and is very directional.
No hardware camera button.

Im sure ill find more to love and hate but for 100 bucks I dont regret my decision at all. Especially compared to the Zte and Lg in the same price range. Not to trash on the motion too much, my wife adores hers and the little display is a bonus to her...but i think men and modders will find more to love here.

When I got mine they had a promo where it was $35 and $40 for the service, so it could of been a Motion quality phone since I got it for near to nothing lol. :p

As for the camera button, in my opinion, I like that this one doesn't have it. I agree, that 2 gb of internal storage is a pain.

I got the same promo, I picked up the zte also, I already had an LG optimus l 9 which I finally rooted 3 days ago( thank u case) but I'm shocked to find out how powerful the premise really is on phone gsm arena it rivals with the s 4 and LG something or other. Can u imagine we get a kernel like alien kernel like the one on boost warp?.... holy sh! t! ... don't underestimate this phone... I've been doing a lot of research... plus I cursed out huawei @ their site earlier 2day... guess we couldve had official jb update but then they backed out. Idk keep fingers crossed..... WE NEED ROMS!!!!!!!
