After updating my applications last, Facebook being one of them and the one that I'm having issues with. After the app icon there is now a circle with a number 3 in it that will not go!! Its orange/red colour and it over laps the top right slightly. I've tried removing completely and installing again with no help. Also may I add it's not because I've unanswered notifications because I haven't! Is it an android bug? Or Facebook bug with the last update? Any help gratefully appreciated.

You can rid yourself of all facebook notifications via:

Settings > Applications > facebook and then uncheck the notifications box at the top.

Mind you, that turns off ALL facebook notifications

Yeah I already do this, always have since it'd be going off none stop!! This is an entirely new problem that's arisen that I've not encountered before

right heres the pic I got, it is the same number in a circle when you get a text message which vanishes when you read it, that's why I thought maybe its the notifications, but they are all switched off and I have no notifications.

it does this after being completely removed from google play, and being installed from scratch

I've drawn around the problem area :)

Oh, a bubble notification. You don't seem to be using a third party launcher, so I don't think its that. You don't have any unread messages or unanswered friend requests?

No I don't, I've been on and off the app numerous times. And as said above it does this after I've cleared everything in the app settings, and in Google play so it wouldn't know if I had notifications as I've not logged in. It's so confusing!!
