Case Recommendations?

Update, got the ngp case in today. It fits great and looks good, without adding bulk. The case covers the power and volume buttons, but remains easily used. It comes with a screen protector and a cloth. Its a flexible hard case that slips on, similar to the d30 cases, but a little thinner and without the impact material in it. All in all a nice case for $16 or less, over $20 not so much, imo. Either way its probably the only decent case maker for the F3 at the moment.

I'd have to guess the dual pro is quality case too, but it will add more bulk with more protection. And probably come with a screen protector.

Thanks for the info. Is that this case?:

Just wondered because it doesn't even mention that it comes with a screen protector (that I see anyway).

Both cases are made by Incipio and other than color they look the same in the pictures.

What is the difference between the 2 other than color and price?

thanks

The main difference that I see is that the dual pro has a silicone/soft layer, covered mostly by a hard acrylic outer shell, while the ngp is just a more rigid silicone case. This is just my observation from the case descriptions as well as pictures, not from personal experience lol

I ordered the Incipio NGP case last night. I think I'll like the thinness of it. I currently have a Trident case for my Optimus Elite. It is nice. Has hard rubber and some plastic parts on back. What I like about it is that it has rubber plugs that go into all the holes so it keep dust and dirt out of them. Though it makes the phone heavier which is ok unless you are holding for awhile and then wrist start to get tired. I think I'm going to like this thinner/lighter case. Also I think it will keep the "cased" F3 about the same size, maybe a little smaller than my Elite so it should fit in my same belt holster.

The 2 layer hybrid cases Are the kitties jammies.

I've had them for my DroidX, Motion and Spirit. I especially like the ones where the hard plastic parts covers the corners for 2 layers of protection.

I have a stand and no stand one for my Spirit. I used the no stand one for the past couple months because it adds so little thickness. The stand adds more but I missed using the stand and just went back to the stand one like this one for the F3 again.

The paint can scrape off the hard plastic part of these. Krylon plastic spray paint of your desirable color fixes that.

These are the guys I got my Spirit cases from. I would buy Either of them again.

On the stand one, it stays "clicked" in when retracted. Nice and clean and secure on mine. It does add more bulk and the non-stand case Is otherwise Perfect, but the stand on mine works Really Good When you need it.

I have no idea if they make a F3 case exactly like it, I'd hope so, they work good.

I wish they had a picture of the front with the phone installed. I satisfied with my Incipio NGP case except for it does not wrap around very much in the front.

Does it wrap around more than this?

I'm not sure I understand you. Your case there looks like ALL edges of the phone are covered with case.

With the 2 piece hybrids, ALL the phone except the glass is covered with one (soft rubbery) layer and most of it with the hard 2nd layer.

I don't think any decent looking case is Bulletproof, but just a lessening of a chance of damage if you drop it.

What I am talking about is the front of the phone. The case "lip" just barely covers the front of the phone. I would like it to overlap a little more - closer to the screen. Would then we on top of screen saver to help hold it down.

The coverage I get now is not even an 1/8 of an inch - barely over a 1/16 of an inch.

Does yours cover on the front more than that?

thanks

Hardly any coverage On the glass here here either.

There is still about 1/8" of rubber above the edge of the phone. That works for me.

(Another trick with very breakable stuff is if I DO drop it, I always try and stick my foot out. It's less likely to break even hitting my ankle than hard pavement.)
