Since about a year I have been successfully running WhatsApp on my unrooted Nexus 7 using the famous AppGuard method (type in Google: "Nexus 7 AppGuard WhatsApp XDA" and you will find it). Basically, this app can restrain WhatsApp from reading the tablet status and identify, thereby masking that it is actually tablet instead of a phone.
I do not possess a smartphone, so running WhatsApp on my Nexus 7 was a perfect way to still be able to use this app. Once in a while I had to update the app, and it takes a little bit longer than usual. However, running WhatsApp on my Nexus 7 has always worked perfectly until today.
Today I woke up and I tried to open WhatsApp, but I got the message:
