I loaded Next launcher on my device to replace Touchwiz. The problem is every time I reboot the device it asks me to set the default launcher. I have not rooted the tablet. I have installed the Next Patch that is supposed to solve this issue but yet it keeps happening. Any suggestions how I can keep Next as the default launcher?

whenever you reboot, you get a window with both launcher (next & touchwiz), right? so click on next launcher them click on 'always' or 'set as default', it should keep that going forward

And just to add to this, whenever there's an update for the launcher, it usually requires you to set the launcher as default again.

Well that is the problem. It does not keep this setting and asks me to default to a launcher every time I boot the device.

It's a known bug in the Note and Note 2. That applet nag will appear as drexappeal says, and sometimes also if you make a major change in configuration of the launcher, such as installing and running a new live wallpaper, or toggle 3D mode off then back on, or restore a backup, etc.

The remedy used to be to go into the Application Manager and clear data and cache in TouchWiz. That doesn't work anymore.
