[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

Hold on, I have all the JBSourceries going all the way back. I'll put 5.2 in my Dropbox :)

EDIT: Okay, I guess you don't need it anymore :)

Found it myself, thankfully hadn't deleted it lol. For some reason, the following is my dilemma.

I can run Pandora perfectly fine...almost. However, if I open navigation, it closes within minutes. It also likes to do it afterwards, if I turn the screen off. Sometimes it'll go for ten minutes, sometimes 2. But after using Nav, Pandora won't stay open for the life of me. I can run regular local music on Google Music or anything else, perfectly fine, all day long. But for some reason, it just won't stream music while that way. So I'm thinking to go back to 5.2 to see if it will work again since I don't remember when it started lol. Was back when there were a ton of builds coming out lol.

Edit: Edit: I haven't had a chance to fully test it on what I'm running (which I believe is 5.2.9 actually). But I did download Maps last night on the way home after the reinstall of JBS, and a) wow on the new maps and nav, Google, I like it 97%, and b) I streamed Pandora alongside it until I lost service. So, I don't know if it's reverting to a 5.2 build, or the new maps having something to do with it, and it was only one half hour trip, but so far...we'll see.

(My only gripe on the new maps btw? It tried to route me via a cow path. Never did that on the old maps, and I haven't changed settings, but...yeah, glad I knew better. I wouldn't have attempted it in a truck, much less my car. lol)

Turns out my troubles have happened to others, where streaming music just doesn't like playing as nicely with apps actively using GPS? I dunno, never had a major issue with it before, but then I also tend to just shrug off when stuff happens. On a good note though, it means I can ramp back up to Encore or wherever I was at before trying a 5.2 build to see, since it made no difference. Gives me something to do tomorrow after my dentist visit lol.

Is anyone else still on this? I'm still running Encore, still doing what I need. Just wondering if I'm alone here....

not according to traffic to the server you are far from alone i would say there's still 100+ or so based on traffic. nothing compared to the 20,000 we had at 1 point but for a rom that has been dead for shoot i dont know when did i stop thats still pretty cool. for the first 3 years of doing a rom i was happy to have 100 people run it :)

Hope your still enjoying it :)

And for the inquisitive mind I am enjoying ROM retirement and have no plans at this time to continue in the future , I just dont have the energy to spend the time i require of myself to produce what Sourcery was and anything less is already available. I do hang out at #lg-g2 on irc as that is the phone i have now, But mainly just for people to talk with and have fun :)

I've since moved on to 4.4 roms, but just wanted to chime in here to thank you again for the hard work on the GN. I ran your roms for quite a long time. Thankfully my GN is still kicking so no need to update, just yet.

Still digging it thats for sure! People, especially iphone users always ask how did I change my nav icons. (Charming text in a bright green). There is just too much to like, and if you dont...change it! Sourcery was a ROM to make every ones phone just like their owners...different! I think thats why it was and looks like it still is popular.
For that, I thank you!

Kept coming back to Sourcery, the last ROM I ran... Last month I broke down and bought a new phone. With a bit of sadness I bid adieu to Sourcery and all the awesomeness the ROM it crammed in my phone. From ICS to JBS I still never discovered all the goodies. To all the devs and the guides on this forum You ALL are amazing, Thanks for the ride..... Larry
