Running apps

I am new to Android and don't know much about smart phone, this is my first one.
I got a Kyocera Event and it's not activated, I may some time but not now. I mainly got it for an MP3 player, camera,video, some apps and wifi.

When I go to "Battery" it will all these apps running and show the percentage,like 1% or 7%. I don't know if I even need these apps for what I use it for but don't want to disable something that will make my phone not work right either.

One is the youtube, or google+, musicFX, MobleID. Do I need these?
Is it draining much battery?

I don't know if I even need these apps for what I use it for but don't want to disable something that will make my phone not work right either.

You'd probably be okay without any/all of them, but I'd leave anything Google related just in case. Really, though, I doubt that they're using much of the battery.

Youtube and Google+ are fine to disable man. Be careful with other things :thumbup:

"Battery" > "Running" > com.google.android > 74%

com.sprint.w.install > 26%
and so on.

I don't don't what the % means.

I know I can force stop them but they pop back up.

I dont know about the Sprint thing but im guessing its the cellular radio. The android thing is essential to the phone.
The percentage just means the percentage of your battery that process/app has used so if the battery lasts 10hrs and an app used 10%, its blown an hour of battery life. Dont worry much about 1-2% some widgets will use that :thumbup:
P.s, google Maps and google Play Music sometimes use power in the background but you can disable them if u dont use them

You don't need any of them. I don't know what musicFX is but I bet it's ok to uninstall.

However, you will find that you're unable to remove MobileID. That's put there by the carrier as a system app that can't be removed. You would have to root to remove it, and may need to install a different ROM. Both options are difficult hacks for a new user (and for many experienced users too).

For that one you may be able to disable it in the settings. You can certainly disable mobile data, not so sure about disabling voice, but disabling mobile data will help.

Once disable, can they be enable again?

Any settings you disable can be enabled again easily.

Any apps you remove, if you can find them in the Play store (or elsewhere), can be installed again later. Ones that you can't find (like MobileID, if you can uninstall it) you won't be able to get back unless you managed to back them up first.

You may be able to "freeze" apps using something like TitaniumBackup. Freezing an app keeps it on your phone but disables it, so you can simply un-freeze it later.

Disabled apps will go to the bottom of the list so if u want to re-enable them, thats where theyll be :thumbup:

What is "Connections Optimizer"?
"Talk"
"Google Partner Setup"
"Email"
"Exchange Services"
These are a few more I think I could do without.

I know you cant disable Talk. I wouldnt touch the partnership one either :thumbup:
