Root Is this a possibility for our T-Mobile L9? Cyanogen 10.1 stable release for L9 p769

Also found this on XDA ,

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2216542

Looks like it would work...maybe. They are saying it effectively changes the p769 into the p760 while keeping the 769 functionality.

Plan on getting this phone this week and was hoping some devs have seen it but I don't see anything in this forum about it..
Anyway, feeling hopeful....

Edit: After reading the full thread on xda it appears to be working on tmo's L9. Though it seems to be somewhat complicated to do....

I unlocked the bootloader of my L9(Metro version) and it makes working on ROM's so much easier...Only have a few more things to fix:

Off topic question Bobz, the l9 you got from metro, is it working off t-mos service or Metros? I was considering getting that phone from Metro but was unsure who the service was through...
And how was unlocking the boot loader? About like it was described in the xda thread that I posted the link too?
BTW, been running your cm10 on my Motion, its the only reason I've kept my Motion, lol....

Didn't check the link but that's the one that requires a unlocked bootloader? Does the 2nd I int recovery work for this phone? I wanna start a from for it but am not familiar with the 2nd int and am unsure if I wanna unlock the bootloader yet. I have the 769 btw.

Yes, requires a unlocked boot loader... Its a stable release too so everything should be working well....

It's a Metro phone, but it's really running on T-mobiles H+ network...I never got speeds like this on Metro's LTE service:

Unlocking the bootloader is not an easy task...the instructions are for a T-mobile phone...so some things are not the same and need to be altered for the Metro L9.

Bob, you move from phone to phone as much as I do. I snagged this phone up just yesterday. I did not realize the greater SF bay got this (metro) phone.

I was about to look into doing what you've likely already got done, and when I saw you were here working on it, I felt better. So thank you sir. I understand RL time is precious, I spent all mine for the week writing this thank you.

I don't code much 'cept php/sql these days but if theres anything trivial I can help with let me know. (IT guy / networking cisco / php sql coder / whatever else. Just not a phone guy yet. )

Much kudos to Bob for his efforts on all of his projects. He does things right.

What were the speeds that you're getting on the l9? Picture is a bit blurry so I can't tell....

There seems to be a few bootloader unlocking pages at xda, can you send me to the same method you used? I'm getting this fone soon and would like to do some reading. And thanks for the cm10.1, your the man :car:

I originally used this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173465(which I altered...not for noobs)
This one maybe a little easier: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277639

I gave up on cm10.1...I'm working on cm10.2(Android 4.3):
