Delivery report

i've sent a text message 2 weeks ago to someone and i didnt get any delivery report. i tried calling but it was unavailible. but i remember long time ago i sent an MMS to someone and he didnt get it, so after 3-5 days i've received a report saying ''its out of date'' or something like that. so my question is why didnt i get any report till now? whats the problem? even if text wasnt delivered i should get a report anyway right? help please

I think you only get a 'delivery report' when your message has been delivered, otherwise you don't get anything.
