Root [ROM][MS870][LOKI] Samurai ROM

it PO's me off that Detroit isn't part of their GSM area yet. Detroit was always one of Metros top areas. This is why I hate T mobile.
Is Detroit a t-mobile home area?

I'm in a t-mobile and metro home area, but don't know if that would make the difference.

All I really know is that my speeds doubled after prl update. I went to purchase an S4 today and didn't thanks to metro employee hooking me up with the info. lol

I updated my Prl and now my speeds have dropped lol this jsut proves that t mobile sucks. It's why i left them to start with. Detroit was one of Metro pcs first areas of service, so i guess that makes it a home network.

anyways love this ROM I'm running the white theme. :D

Not trying to argue with you by any means, but....

T-mobile was the first company in the US to have the foresight to see into the future and switch to GSM back in the late 90's. That's when they were called Voice Stream. Then they changed their name to t-mobile and emerged as the first and only GSM network at that time.

Their speeds, coverage, and service are truly great.

The home area is defined by coverage in that area as opposed to the time they set up their networks there.

I think it's to early to be upset at either company since as Gman pointed out that the merger is only about 75% complete, so not everyone will fully benefit yet.

I'm sure Detroits service will improve in due time.

lol I know their history, I was with voice stream before it switched over to t mobile. Once they moved over to T mobile I had nothing but problems with them. I was on the phone with customer service just about everyday. with in the month that metro pcs started up I moved over to them and have never had issues, the only time I've had to call their customer service was when i needed the phone number to call the insurance when i dropped my phone in the toilet.

Detroit was a home area for Metro pcs. Now it looks like we are getting snubbed by the crappy t mobile with their ugly pink colors. I miss VoiceStream they were awesome. Every year they'd give me a free phone.

I hope our speeds here in Central Florida get better. Ever since the new prl I've had horrible uploads. Downloads are still about a 3.5Mbps avg.
That's what I was afraid of before updating, but since guy at store assured me it would work great I did it. He also said if I didn't like it that he would install prl 3032 back on my phone.

Try flashing back to your previous prl that was working better for you until the new prl is released.

I really feel this will be my last phone with what ever they want to call this new company. I always liked Metro, I don't care for t mobile and I doubt they will change my mind. To many bad experiences with them. Just by how they are going about this, some areas getting the new phones and some not, shows they are inept and have very bad business practices. They should have just waited till they had the network fully integrated. By give some people the new phones and making others wait it says these people are more important than you are. That's bad business.

anyways back on topic anything new planed for Samurai?:D

I just updated without knowing my previous prl and now I'm having text message sending issue. What should I do?

Oh I was directing my post at AGLtech so that he can maybe fix his service.

I already know how you feel about these companies since you've told me a few times before. Last time you told me you might be switching to Verizon and I said they have the best service. :p

I flashed this last night, coming straight from about a month's use of Katana which I loved. So I was totally expecting great things. Seems to have suffered from some serious battery drain for no reason that I could ascertain. On the plus side, if the screen was turned off and the phone sitting in my pocket or on a desk, all was well and might not barely drain at all in an hour or three. But the minute I was actually doing anything with the phone I could almost count each tick down even if I'm only reading text. So I am back to Katana for the time being, just wondering if I'm the only one experiencing a battery drag with this one?

Funny how everyone is complaining about how the merger is going. I have only noticed that my signal has dropped every so often for an hour or two, usually in the wee hours of the night, but everything else seems alright. I might just switch to tmobes and get the One since all the rest of my family is on it already.

Yeah we are all in different areas so it effects us all in various ways. It surely has nothing to do with the ROM's or anything like that. I heard a few people mention they had bad data after switching ROMs.
The One? I have never been an HTC fan. The HTC UI just doesn't seem even close to the Android UI. Just my opinion.

Is anyone having problems with Apollo? I can't get it to close, the only way I've found is to go into settings and force stop it. Am I missing g the exit button somehow?
To close Apollo permanently when done using it, pull down notification bar and click the "x" next to apollo.

If you just hit the back arrow, it closes the window, but remains running in the background.

I had to look really close to find the X. Maybe I need to turn my brightness up some. Lol
LOL Yeah I don't know why the guys at CyanogenMod made Apollo that way, but all in all I love it. It's my favorite player.

You can upgrade it too, just google version 1.1 and get it from a reliable source.

hey. certain websights aren't working on here. they work on my computer fine but not on here..
Sorry don't know. Perhaps disable ad-blocking by opening ad-away app. Or in the browser you're using select desktop site instead of mobile. Remember your phone isn't a PC, it's a mobile.
