Hmm.... Anything phases or rob (maybe someone else) could do with their ISP/registrar maybe? Maybe a DMCA copyright takedown notice?

Too bad the spammers and trolls (what few we have) don't all go there ;)

E: wow, they even have links to all the ipad/apple and windows stuff too. At their domain obviously.
E2: At least anyone who goes to that site will find the real links to the Phandroid youtube/twitter/facebook ... :eyeroll:
e3: can't actually register. So must just be after passwords and ad revenue. Meh.
Final edit:
Code:

127.0.0.1 winsource.appforerunner,com
127.0.0.1 isource.appforerunner,com
obviously, change the commas to periods. ;)

SO TRUE SO TRUE... :congrats::congrats::congrats::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

So true....

Why can't these losers and freaks just go and get a bloody life for once???

Oh my God...

Look.

I make viruses for FUN and do it ONLY on my machine... what kind of person would actually go and do that???

Really.

I mean come on man..... what the heck is wrong with people like this?

Thank you Rasta Gusta Mon / GlassesMon the WeirdlyBeardlyMon.

Thanks bud.

I don't mind the "good" hacker that will break into a system do no damage what so ever and leave a .txt or whatever kind of note and let the people how they did it.

That is actually very very very good behavior and very constructive and I they are very good people but this kind of bull shit....

Wow.

Jail them.

Some people really really need serious help.

I think Rob should seriously consider suing these creatures.

Disgusting.

Go for it Rob.

Go for gold Robby bruizer! :)

This is why suing exists... to teach people what they are doing is not okay...

Go for gold Rob! :D

Over the years the term 'hacker' has gotten kind of a bad rap.

Many eons ago, I considered myself a hacker--as did just about every other UNIX geek/guru/wizard I knew back then--but none of us EVER broke into anyone else's computer system. It was sort of a term of, not endearment exactly, but just like acknowledgment of a certain interest/skill we shared (UNIX programming--NOT breaking into computers).

Now, people who do *BAD* things to others' systems are called hackers, but I go with the 'cracker' label for them. And I wish they'd go away!

I consider myself a 'kinda' hacker. More of an information security enthusiast. ;) That being said, I don't really think there is a negative connotation with the word 'hacker' in my eyes. Much like 'punk' or 'jock' or 'nerd'. And with hacking, I think it's all about style. If a hacker does something illegal, I can at least respect it if it's cool. That anon/lulzsec HBgary thing a couple of years ago was sweet. And the jester putting up that QR code on his twitter... bad ass.

Now, where's the fun in a phishing site?? They probably just did a
Code:
wget -r -l 0 <af>
.... cool /s And did anyone try their logon page? Mine didn't work. Wasn't sure if it was my VM, connection, or something on their end.

Either way, blocked.

Yeah, I see your point.

No, it's not supposed to work. I mean, they're only doing it to grab AF users' names and passwords. After they do that, there's no point in actually LOADING anything. Morons.

Oh, when I gave them my 'username' and 'password,' let's just say I let my imagination rule.

Yeah, on my VM, it just would download the .php file... all blank. 0byte file.

I was planning on submitting a few username/password combos....
Hmm... Now, I wonder where the ethics are of what the legality is of using a script to massively submit data to that site of just absolute garbage. With enough trash, they wouldn't be able to tell any real data apart from any incorrect data. Probably in some gray area.
