Hi, I've had my phone bricked for about 5 months now. I got my new battery in the mail today and got a charge light for about 3 seconds then it would go off and not return.

The phone wouldn't charge but now it had showed some signs of life.
I got it to boot up by holding the power button while plugging the charger in.

Now it remains stuck on the HTC splash screen.
If I try to boot into recovery, it still shows the HTC splash screen and doesn't load.

Any ideas?

Edit:

I'm back to no loading up at all after plugging it into my computer.
Holding power while plugging in does not do anything.

Now battery light is flashing every few seconds.

Can you boot into the bootloader by holding VolDown + Power? Also the flashing battery light indicates the battery is completely dry. Leave it alone for a few hours and it should be back to solid orange.

usually that means the battery is dead. Leave it plugged in for 30 minutes them come back. If it still dont work then The EVO V makes a great paperweight.....

I would boot to bootloader, but would not boot recovery.
Yeah, I went ahead and got the Galaxy Victory 4G LTE yesterday.

I am very pleased with the reception and speed. And the killer battery life, I was using it all day on a single charge and still have 40% remaining. :smokingsomb:
