I'm upgrading from LG Spirit 4G to the MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy S4 this weekened....
last time I looked in here- there was no root or anything...just a week or so ago.... wow...
I was going to get the Galaxy S3...because it has alot of Roms and the Dev community is in full swing...(and its hundreds of dollars less...).. I'm glad I waited a minute more....
MetroPCS Galaxy S4 is a hurt on my blue collar-pockets though... I ordered the Slim Armor case by Spigen (red) (arrived)... and the red and grey SanDisk Ultra 64 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 already from Amazon- waiting on that to come via UPS -so I can go down and pick up the phone by this weekend... hopefully.... do I need anything else?
Projected spending is $685.00 bucks with full price phone- plus sales tax and case and microsd.... and phone# changeover fee....
Wanton extravagance.... I know- but I've had second rate "settle for this" phones since my HTC Evo 4G in 2010.... a working man should be able to get what he really wants.... I need something to show for the ridiculous wear on my body- from all the forced overtime....
You all hear my excuses? I'm preparing for my wife when she hears the sticker shock?
I've gotten slick in my old age.... hehehehe....I ordered the accessories first! So there won't be any heated arguments over whether I'm getting this bad boy!...
If you aren't married gang- DONT DO IT! Crap us married guys gotta put up with aint worth the hassle.
But engineering the excuses to buy this thing with the toys it needs to run right.... is my sad life.... having the phone will go a long way towards mitigating my misery!
I dunno if I'll root though-- this thing is so feature and hardware rich... why should I risk root?
what are the benefits beyond the bag of awesome already on this mother?
I have the Elago slim fit case in black (which is very similar to yours but black) and the same Sandisk class 10 from amazon. So you have great taste
Rooting is great. Its like....imagine never having been married. Let that sink in for a second.... R u feeling the possibilities?...the freedom to do what ever you want (talkin about the phone lol)? Its kinda like that
The risk is rather low Id say (rooting) but the benefits are very real and very usefull. Dont rush into rooting tho, I enjoyed my stock phone for a whole day before i rooted
