Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

OK tried the static ip thing. That won't even let me hit the connect button. This is maddening. So that's a no go. I dunno what to try except the dirty install. But I still need a copy of the last update. This gb thing is gonna make me go nuts..

The reason why you can't press the 'connect' button is because you are not filling in all the blanks. You need to fill in ALL blanks before the 'connect' button will enable so you can press it.

It may look like everything is filled - when its not. There will be 'grayed' out text in each of the fields, however, that is just a 'hint' of what to put in the field. You need to actually put the correct data in each field.

The IP and Gateway must be based off what you have already defined in your router (do an 'ipconfig' at a command prompt and find out the subnet your router is on as well as the gateway).

I typed in the defaults for the other fields, including the DNS 1 and 2. The 'hints' on these are Google DNS servers - which is a good idea to use anyway as they are rarely down.

OK not my router. I'm a broke ass with a hand me down phone at a friends house using the neighbors wifi. Yeah I know I know. Less than ideal. But I digress. This worked on the last update. And I've been looking for hours now. And cannot find a dl for the old update. Can't even find a reference to the old file name to try and Google it.
I'm pretty much point and click. I've learned a lot thanks to these forums and have now put a custom rom or at least rooted 100 plus phones now. But to b honest I'm rather clueless to network stuff. It works or don't. I haven't a clue where to look for these numbers. I DO have access to a laptop but it's on the tail end of someone that likes to install EVERYTHING... I don't even know what it's doing most times...

Can't help ya there, man. Hijacking someone else's wifi signal is beyond what I'm comfortable with

Volunteer for a tester on the new build. Looks like Phenom is looking for help.

Don't get me wrong. I got the password from them to use. I know how that sounded :D everything is legit but getting into their router is more than I'm comfy with....

You don't need to access any settings on the router itself. Just open a command window (from your friends laptop) and type 'ipconfig'. The 'ipconfig' command will return all the IP information you would need to get around the WiFi issue until Phenom can get it fixed. Set your static IP as 192.168.0.50 (or whatever your subnet is). Subnet in the above example would be '0'.

Many times the subnet will be a '1', i.e., 192.168.1.50. Just depends how the router was initially setup.

I'll upload a flashable zip for the updated wrapper so that the led flash can work.
