Please advice what can I do to recover the phone
SD card replaced, usb cable is native.
Thanks in advance

the aahk will not work! there is no support, and the links have all been removed. the program can no longer access the files it needs.

if your phone is not booting, youll need to flash a rom and boot image,or run an ruu.

there have been a fair amount of similar posts lately,as folks do not understand that s-on rom flashing is different.

start reading at this post, and it should help you restore your device: http://androidforums.com/desire-hd-...ion-cant-parsing-pd98img-zip.html#post6024894

Thank you Scotty
I've lowered the version with the ZIP file
(bootloader) version-main: 1.00.000.0

But I do not have a spare android phone to make a goldcard.
I've downloaded RUU - RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.36.405.8_R_Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_187331_signed
Tried to run it - but with no success.
RUU says that it upgrades to newer version.
But at the point "Sending... " and then "Updating a signature" - if I understand well it sends image to the phone it gives an error:
Error [155] - "during image upgrade"

RUU logs shows following:

error 155 is usually solved by starting the utility with the phone in fastboot instead of the booted OS. failing that, you can extract rom.zip from the utility in this manner:
the .exe utilities can be finicky,so if you have trouble getting it to run, you can extract "rom.zip" in the following manner:
-start the utility
-check the "i understand" box to move on to the next screen
-hide the utility temporarily out of site
-search your C drive for "rom.zip". you will find it in a temporary location(it will be in a different spot each time you run the utility)
-open the folder location, and transfer rom.zip to a safe location on your PC.
-unhide and cancel the utility, youre done with it.
-rom.zip can be renamed to PxxxIMG and flashed in hboot, from a FAT32 sd card

rom.zip can be renamed PD98IMG and flashed from a FAT32 sd card in hboot,or flashed via fastboot and ruu mode in this manner:
if youre working with a booted, operational phone, you can flsh the file in the following manner:

-open a cmd window

-change to adb/fastboot directory
cd c:\foldername
(cd c:\mini-adb if youve used any of my guides :))

-place the zip file you want to flash into adb/fastboot directory

-enable usb debug, disable fastboot, plug in phone

-check for connectivity
adb devices (should return serial number)

-boot to fastboot
adb reboot bootloader

-check for connectivity again
fastboot devices

-flash the file
fastboot erase cache

fastboto oem rebootRUU (will put you in ruu mode, black screen silver htc letters)

fastboot flash zip zipfilename.zip (will send and flash the file. dont interupt it while the cmd window shows its writinging, and the green status bar is moving on the phone screen)

*sometimes a file will fail with a pre-update error. this is normal, just enter again:
fastboot flash zip zipfilename.zip
and this time it will finish

-when you get "finished" and "OK"
fastboot reboot-bootloader (takes you back to fastboot)

-reboot back to the OS
fastbooot reboot

you can use this if you dont have an operational phone as well. you just need to manually put the phone in fastboot(select from hboot menu) then skip the "adb" commands and start with fastboot devices

the x.xx.405.x ruus should be compatible with your CID,so if youve successfully lowered your main version, you should have no trouble getting one to run. if you want to use a 2.xx rom,be careful not to flash a froyo rom unless you are 100% certain your device SHIPPED with froyo. installing froyo on a device shipped with GB jams you up quite miserably, possibly unrecoverably

as long as you stick with the x.xx.405.x ruus, you dont need the goldcard. :)

Thank you very much. You're amazing. It's alive! :)

I have relocked the phone and followed the steps and was able to recover the phone.
Android version 2.3.3
HTC sense 2.1

Can you please advice a good way now to upgrade it to Android 4.1 or 4.2 if possible?
Something which won't make a brick this time :)
Thank you.

youll just have to install a 4.2 based rom. :)

you can follow this guide to unlock the bootloader:
http://androidforums.com/desire-hd-...-how-unlock-install-recovery-root-htcdev.html

technically it is possible to flash roms while s-on,but its a more involved process,as the kernels(boot.img) must be installed manually. if you choose to stay s on,youll need to use this guide to flash roms(its for the rezound, but the basic prinicple applies): http://androidforums.com/rezound-all-things-root/499172-how-manually-flash-roms.html#post3933400

my recomendation would prolly be to unlock the bootloader, then use the following guide to become s off and superCID: http://androidforums.com/desire-hd-...-s-off-simunlock-supercid-inspire-4g-dhd.html

once you are s off, recovery can install the kernel, and rom flashing is easy.

just holler if you have questions :)

Thank you very much Scotty
Everything went perfect- I've got S-OFF
Now can I just follow the guide from the link below to install CM10.1 :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2073992
--Install ClockworkMod Recovery.
--Do a NANDroid backup of your current ROM from backup/restore menu.
--Wipe Data/Factory Reset & Wipe cache partition
--Flash CyanogenMod Rom .Zip file.
--Install Gapps package.
--Reboot!

Will "Install from zip" be enough - or I will need to flash something in addition?
Thank you
