Hi, I have just purchased MyBackup Pro, and its just not working!

Every time I try and back up, either online or to the SD Card I get this error:

'Error during backup: Error opening D B'

I purchased it because my contacts when reimported from the HTC Hero Orange firmware update, synched with google, went crazy! I now realise I should have turned off the google synch, but I kept a backup of my backup and have restored this to the SD Card. This gives me the error:

'Could not get backup set.'

Can anyone help?

I have been using MyBackup Pro since it has been on the market ... with no issue like this ...

My suggestion is Email the Developer for help ... I think that is the best plan ....

Here is there reply:

The error opening DB is an SD Card error, which is common with these phones. First, make sure the phone is not connected to the PC when doing a Backup or a Restore. If there is still a problem, try reinstalling the application, and have a look at this.

As for the 'could not get backup set' this means it could not find any existing backup files... Where did you place the file?

I experienced the same issue on a Galaxy Captivate. The solution was simple ... once I figured it out! I was trying to write to the SD card but by default MyBackup is looking for the external SD card.

To fix this I simply (from with MyBackup) did menu -> Options -> uncheck "Use SD Card for local"

Now it works!

I can't find that option in the "options" menu...

I can't find that option in the "options" menu...

Open up MyBackup. Press the "menu" button then select "Options"

Now be sure the first box about the SD card is UNCHECKED
