==== '''Q & A''' ====

Q: When will the next build come?
A: When time permits...I have a wife, five kids, full time job, and an old house that I'm remodeling...hobbies come last.

Q: Can I port your ROM?
A: No, please learn to build from source...my github link is in "Resources".

Q: Why did you remove the Emulated Internal SD card?

A: There is no dedicated internal SD card, no separate partition, and the internal sdcard does not exist on our phone...It is emulated inside the data partition. Which means that every time you save anything to the internal sdcard, the space is being taken away from data.
Now, Android and all apps see the external SD card properly. There are no problems with big apps or games. All downloads will go to the external SD card as expected. Programs like Apps2SD works correctly now because storage is not emulated.

Q: What the story with Focal?

A: CM removed Focal for the following reason: "There are a number of issues with this app, and it's currently not working very well on most devices." Well, I happen to like it better than then the stock camera...so I'm pulling the code from the owner of the app: git://github.com/xplodwild

==== '''How Can You Help?''' ====

Donations to me are also welcomed.

Thank You!

Thanks for the hard work
Got a question, Normal to have 2 clocks? One completely closes when opened so i disabled it via titanium, the other works but when i try to set an alarm is always closes
Both clocks work for me :)
One clock is built with CM and the other gets added with my gapps flash.
I'll be removing the one from gapps...yes you will need to download it again WHEN I update it.

Sweet, thanks. Downloading it at the moment. Is there an issue with GPS? I installed the rom twice and I cannot get the GPS to work on version update: 8-17-13:

This is an upstream problem. The problem lies in Android 4.3. I don't think the problem has been corrected, yet, but when it does it'll filter down to the CM repos and then finally to us.

Thank you very much for a great ROM. A couple of questions if I may, is there anything someone with rudimentary android knowledge can do to help you test and debug?
Right now, things are working well other than the known issue with bluetooth crashing the dialer/phone. The only other thing I have noticed is the signal dropping out and needing a reboot to get it back and about 4 reboots a day average. However, I am not sure if that is not related to the bluetooth issue as my truck stereo auto-connects.
Sorry if this has been asked before but I haven't seen it anywhere. Is there any planned support coming for wifi calling? I have quite a few places I go with bad signals, but that are blanketed in wifi.

Again, thanks for the ROM.

One other question, how do you access the developer options for usb debugging and such, I don't seem to have any of those options in the settings menu.

For a daily driver do you recommend 10.1 or 10.2?

Go into Settings -> About Phone and repeatedly tap "Build Number" until it indicates the Developers Options have been unlocked.

As for your second question: As a user and (former) developer, CM10.2 is technically based on stable release source code (Android 4.3), but it isn't fully stable as CM10.2 (their features, additions, fixes, etc.). Furthermore, 4.3 hasn't been out as long and as such there are still bugs needing to be fixed from Google.

CM10.1, however, is in code freeze. It's stable on both ends (CM and AOSP 4.2.2). Only critical fixes are going into CM10.1. I'm using CM10.1 and it's incredibly stable.

TL;DR version: CM10.2 is fairly stable, but will not be as stable as CM10.1 due to rapid development happening on CM10.2.

I just tried Google maps and everything worked correctly. What app are you using?

I've used Google maps, IGO, and find my car app I use just in a case its a crazy night :D

I had the Spirit too. Busted my original Spirit (complete software failure) trying to get 4G data working on PG's CM10.1. After seeing the new T-Mo based line-up, I sold off my Spirit for the L9. I wasn't having any of that...

The TI OMAP 4430 in the L9 isn't slow, but like skinlab said, you'll feel the difference (maybe not on CM10.x, however). The processor benchmarks significantly lower (GPU performance is much worse), but day-to-day use is good. Everything else is much nicer to me. GPS, battery, sound output, display, and call quality (T-Mo service is so much better) are just as good, if not better, than what I had on the Spirit. Call quality for sure. No more dropped calls or "in-and-out" sound.

I personally like the build quality better on the L9. It's got a nice shape, and I like the piano black finish with chrome. It's a lot better looking in person. The back has a nice rubber touch to it. Also, no MetroPCS branding anywhere to be found. :thumb:

Freaking sweet. If I'm not mistaken the l9 only has a single core 1ghz processor correct. If so I would compare it to the nexus s 4g with performance (I actually still have that device. I use it for music. Lol)

Edit: just checked. I see its dual core. I'll just be giving up that .5 GHz of horse power. I still don't mind. The l9 would give me some time to practice building ROMs and learning the android language. Especially with the unlocked boot loader. Last device I worked on was the galaxy attain and that was a pain in the ass.

Yeah, it's a 1GHz dual-core, but it's got some pep to it. Big, big, big, benefit is that the OMAP4 has got a huge community around it. Technically, the LG Optimus L9 (P760) has "official" support from CM (I think one of the big devs has it). So, with the P769 being a sister phone, we don't have "official" support, but I don't see why we couldn't get it.

IMO, you ain't really losing much by getting the L9. I considered it an upgrade from the Spirit.

Sorry, BobZ... went all off-topic on your thread. :D

Yea. Lol. Sorry bobz. But I will be getting this device soon no matter what. Unless I stumble across an HTC one.
