Well, I have gotten both the Flash Player and Flash Lite APK's, and I have been trying to install them on the Droid. Flash Player refuses to install on stock 2.1. Flash Lite installs, but after install I can not connect to the internet (Nothing connects, Skype, market, random app, browser.)

So I wanted to know if anyone wanted to do some testing with them, to see if you can get them running on the ROM you are running. Maybe we will be able to make fun of iDevices earlier, because Droid Does what iDont :)

Flash Lite: FlashLitePlugin.apk

Flash Player: FlashPlayer.apk

As I said, I have not gotten it to work yet. It was taken from the HTC Incredible ROM.

It Will not work on the Droid...**EDIT** Unless your an extreme hacker...I suppose it's possible though, just ALOT of work. The HTC framework is very different. If you want flash lite on Droid NOW, then go download the Passion Alpha Rom from Alldroid...It works (but phone calls do not work correctly if 3G is turned on). An update is supposed to hit this weekend that gets the RIL (phone) working. It's either that, or wait until Flash 10.1 comes out...

Maybe I missed something, but how was it taken from the Incredible rom? Flash isn't suppose to be coming preinstalled on any phones until the second half of the year. It also wouldn't have flash AND flash lite. Something sounds fishy...

Well, a couple of things. First of all, the Incredible runs Flash Lite. There is no normal Flash available yet. I have a feeling, the OP was trying to somehow install regular Flash to his phone. When that didn't work, Flash Lite...

Second, Flash (lite) most certainly is installed on several Android phones at the moment...But I think you meant "Flash 10.1 isn't suppose to be coming preinstalled"...

Third, I'm not sure if you meant Flash 10.1 is not coming to Android until the Second Half, or if you meant "preinstalled". Because, according to Adobe, Flash 10.1 is still scheduled for a first half release on Droid/Nexus One...

I originally downloaded this pack for the TV out APK from the Incredible, but I found the Flash lite and Flash APK's and thought someone may have been interested.

http://sdw.st/~jaime/files/system-app.zip is the original package.

Not sure what the "Flash APK" is, but if you want more info, you might talk to the guys developing the Passion rom over at Alldroid. They have had the Incredible dump (yeah I said that) for several weeks now...They can (and I'm sure will) give you info on the Flash APKs...If they don't want to, just link them to your brilliant "TV OUT" thread, and I'm sure they will change their minds...Seriously man, you are ONE SMART KID!!!

Folks, Flash Lite 4 IS Flash 10.1, but not the full version and no GPU assist. Already confirmed and there are Youtube vids of people going to Flash site and it showing 10.1.

You will be surprised how well Flash Lite works. I have had Flash Lite 3.1 on my Archos 5 for 18 months (not Android version) and even embedded video play well. Playing full screen is even better.

My Archos 5 has the same exact chipset as Droid. That being said, Archos player uses a more basic OS and Opera as the browser. Not sure if Android will play into this and be less efficient.

I would rather have Flash Lite 4, than full 9.4 that is on my N900- far more efficient.
