Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

Everything I've read said wiping battery stats is a "old wives tale"...

I think that is usually true but my phone was reporting completely incorrect %. It dropped like 10% in just a few minutes. Other times it stayed on the same % for an hour. It was dying after just a few hours with little or no use.

I wiped the battery stats and it seems to be better for now.

Well if it worked that's great, one universal truth battery life has always sucked on android. Ever since I had a G1 it was the biggest complaint (aside from storage)

Why is every thing lagging... I keep getting random freezes when playing our searching the web. I even get a keyboard delay someone plz help this is really bothering me.. it takes me 10 to send a text or go on youtube

Download jrummys cache cleaner from the market and set it to clean every hour. Disable animations. Disable sync and background data to free up additional resources. Play with your clock speeds, governors and schedulers. Keep in mind this is still a beta build and there are still bugs to squash and refinements to be made.

Atraum try flashing the file starkraving posted. Worked a champ. Its post #1855

Thanks for the suggestion, not having mms problems but I might give this a try. It's usually only about a 3 second delay so not that critical. I also notice it does it when I open the stock messaging app for the first time. The threads all have #'s and about 3-4 secs later it populates the names. After cached the first time no issues or delays on subsequent opening of the app.

Hey, has anyone experienced a problem connecting two phones running this ROM to the same router? I have one for everything, wife has one for internet, Facebook, games, etc... but we both can't be on the wifi at once it doesn't totally disconnect just allows no traffic to the first phone after the second is connected

Check the Bluetooth addresses for both phones under about phone. Back when I had the Optimus V there was an issue with this on CM roms.

It was because the Bluetooth address was just coded into the rom unlike wifi mac address is hardcoded. Since it was softcoded it was the same for all phones running the rom.

It took a dev to create a zip that assigned a random address based on phone serial.

If both your Bluetooth addresses are the same it's the same issue and the address of one of the phones needs to be changed

I'll look into that when I get home, could it still cause this problem if both phones have Bluetooth turned off

I've followed all the steps as faithfully as I could. Now I've got the cyanogenmod9 screen with the angry blue creature floating in blue ether while his chest pulses. It just sits on this forever. I don't know if this is the 'fastboot' but I reset it through qpst just to be sure, but nothing changed.

Any ideas on how to get this thing working?
