Root [Verizon] SafeStrap 3.5 is almost ready! woohoo

Just rub it in our faces, why don't you? :p

I was all excited about this when I first heard about it, and have been watching the thread over at xda for a while now.
Lately though, I have doubts about it.
I am running xposed framework mods on a rooted ME7 with bloat removed, and this thing screams! Not a hiccup, not a catch. When I would be using HOLO Launcher anyway, what do I really have to gain with a custom ROM? Better battery life? Doubt it. IR blaster functionality? Gone with AOSP from what I hear.
I suppose it does come down to some finer aspects of the user experience and preference, but I think that I'll likely hold off for a while.
I'll be watching though...

I'm totally with you. I did nothing other than root and debloat and I'm getting stellar battery life and super zippy performance.

I will probably be looking to rom once someone gets a kit kat rom out there though. Looks like this safestrap method is sort of like a dual-boot (or really multi-boot) type of scenario though? Unless I'm reading it wrong? So I could have the best of both worlds.

Is there a place to download safestrap or is it still being developed? I've looked here and XDA but since I do this all at work, I'm sort of scattered in my searching and scanning through threads upon threads... it looks like there are a number of people using it but I can't find if they're testing or if it's downright released or not... any insights to my ignorance?

Yes to both of your questions. People are using it. I'm on mdk, so am not using it, but I wouldn't hesitate to use it at all now.

I'm on my phone so I'm not sure how to link.I will check to see if I can. But, in huge mean time, go to xda, then Verizon Samsung galaxy 4, then Verizon Samsung galaxy s4 general discussion. Then probably within a half dozen threads you will find one by hash code, titled Recovery locked me7, safe strap recovery v3.5 wip discussion. Read the first page very good, especially the first two posts. Should have no problem, but read them carefully.
Trying to copy the link.
