Some are even reporting better playback with these updates. If you want it directly, visit the Flash Player Archives on your android phone. I promise updates until Adobe kills Flash Player completely. I will continue to keep checking this thing for security updates. Also, do not download Flash Player unless it's directly from the site or one of my uploads. Hackers are having a field day giving false APKs. Remember, common sense is your best mode of protection.

It appears that there are even more virus'd APKs plaguing the web. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THESE! Please do not download and install from the Play Store. Adobe has been lazy with updating the security patches even for certified devices.

This is likely the last update for Flash Player for Android. Please, if you must have Flash set it to click/tap to play. Or better yet when vulnerabilities start being revealed uninstall it.

Here's how I updated Flash Player on my Triumph:

1. Browse to Google Play on my PC, and login (I was already logged in).

2. Click on "My Android Apps", and the first item listed under "Apps installed on Motorola Triumph" is "Adobe Flash Player 11".

3. Click on the link for "Adobe Flash Player 11".

4. Click on the "Installed" button.

5. Made sure my Triumph is selected (it already was).

6. Click the "Install" button.

7. Wait a minute or so, and check my phone to confirm that the update installed (it did).

Flash Player is on life support with no new major versions coming to Android ever again. However, security patches and bugfixes will continue until September 2013. To protect you guys, I will remove those download links at the time when Flash Player becomes a security risk to use. But I will keep personal backups for as long as possible. If Flash is still needed at that point by you, PM me and I will share an APK with you. But please do not spread it at that time. I do not want anyone getting viruses. Best to slowly wean yourself off of it. I will provide recommended alternatives to directly installing Flash Player when the time comes. Stay smart. Stay safe.

1) Firefox (on Android 2.2 and up - on 4.1 and up bugs may occur)
2) Stock (on Android 2.2 and up - on 4.1 and up bugs may occur)
3) Dolphin Browser (on Android 2.2, 2.3, and 4.0)
3) Dolphin Browser Beta (w/ Dolphin Engine) (on Android 2.2, 2.3, and 4.0)
4) Skyfire (on Android 2.2 and up)
5) Puffin (Plays through the cloud on a remote server)
6) Opera Mobile (up to version 12.x)
7) Any Browser based on the integrated webkit engine (Dolphin, Maxthon, Boat, many not well-known browsers, etc.) (As long as you are on Android 2.2, 2.3, or 4.0)

Flash Innompatible Browsers:

1) Chrome
2) Opera Beta (at least on 4.1 and 4.2, pretty sure it won't work on any other Android version either)
3) Dolphin Browser (on Android 4.1 and up)
4) Dolphin Browser Beta (w/ Dolphin Engine) (on Android 4.1 and up)
5) Opera Mini

Some good alternatives to Flash Player (for videos only, note that these apps require you to buy them from the Play Store. If you don't absolutely need Flash, I suggest living without them):

1) Skyfire: The video toolbar allows you to stream HTML5 H.264 video from Flash videos on compatible sites. Also, you can use the integrated Flash Player with it.

2) Puffin: On the server side, Puffin can stream Flash Videos to your device. Full screen support for Flash Video on Android 4.0+ Also, since Flash Player is run from their servers, less security issues are to come with your device. I checked and they're running Flash 11.2 from their side. Works with a little lag with many popular sites.

I do not endorse or detract from the above products. I am not advertising them. I'm just suggesting them so as to provide users with an alternative to the native Flash Plugin for Android now that Adobe has basically abandoned it. These products are not endorsed or in any way affiliated with the MTDEV team.

Update out today. Grabbed these APKs straight from Adobe. Some users on the Play Store are reporting an improved playback experience. Also, around 25 security vulnerabilities have been fixed.

Guess what guys? Zero days and Flash Player go together like peanut butter and jelly. Please set flash player as click to play on your computer/device, whether it be Android, PC, Mac, or Linux. Better safe than sorry. Only enable plugins on sites you trust and when you need them. Adobe may patch Flash player, but I find it to cause a lot of crashes on any platform, as well as security holes. But it is a necessary evil until HTML5 video and gaming mature and gain adoption. Also there is now another security update that patches two zero days, which were being used to deploy crapware on PC and Mac. Patch Flash and take precautions so you aren't compromised. If you don't need it, uninstall it. Adobe has patched Flash Player for PC, Mac, Linux, and Android, so update it for all your platforms. Windows 8 users can grab a security patch through Windows update.

You all know the drill by now! Another security update, I recommend installing it if you have Flash Player installed. Also updates are available for PC, Mac, and Linux. Windows 8 Flash should be updated later today along with the regular wave of patch Tuesday updates. I'm running the Sharp ROM, and the update through the play store won't work for me. For that matter, it didn't work on my Galaxy Tab running the stock ICS, not rooted.

I went into the menu, set it to allow installs from unknown sources (turned that off afterward), and went here: Archived Flash Player versions Scroll down to the Android versions and downloaded the newest appropriate version. Click "install with package installer."

I made a bookmark to the above web site and plan to check it every few days for updates.

Fixed those broken files on Dropbox. Apparently it's a known bug on Dropbox. PM me guys if this happens again. No new Flash version but I fixed the links, added a link to the security briefing from Adobe, and added direct links to the APKs on Adobe's site.

2. Go to Adobe's Flash Player Version Check page from the Google results
3. On that page, there is a link to: Archived Flash Player Versions

You could Google directly for Archived Flash Player Versions, but I like to know what my current version is before I update.

Update out. Remember no more security patches will be provided after this September for Android. Most mobile sites should be on HTML5 now. Also please update your PCs, Macs, and Linux boxes as well! In case you're wondering, 11.7 is a long term support version for PC and Mac. Linux will be stuck at 11.2 unless you're on Chrome, but you will continue to get security updates for a few more years. I also cannot wait until Flash dies completely. I hate Adobe anyhow since they never gave Linux or Android decent support. So good riddens Adobe Crash Player. If you're on Windows 8, run Windows update and install the Flash Player Security Update. If you're on Chrome, update it in a few days when a new version of Chrome is released with the patched version of Flash. Linux users keep checking Synaptic, the Update Manager, or whatever your distro calls it. Everyone else download and install from the website.

RIP Adobe Flash. We knew ye well. Thou times art past, much like the infamous Internet Explorer 6. In other words, on my Nexus 5 or any device I own with KitKat, even Firefox has issues with Flash. Dolphin too. Chromium web view is now the basis for the AOSP browser which also means Flash is dead on mobile. Remember, you can use it on 2.2 all the way through 4.4, so it's not so bad. Puffin is the best choice for Flash. Skyfire went down the toilet and is a social networking garbage browser (now owned by the crazy new stupid n00b-targetting Opera, go figure). I suggest either Puffin, the plugin disabled except when you need it (then tap to play), or just live without Flash.
