Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Loki and you

congrats on being added t o teh party, this means someone can make a custom recovery for you that will factory reset you every time you use it. it means someone can look into cm for you and custom kernels.

so many users of this phone. do we have any devs working on custom roms? :)

More then likely won't happen for a long time. We don't even have a recovery and we need an unlocked bootloader to use that. Maybe eventually we will have a modified boot loader to install to bypass the recovery writing so were able to eventually. But until then, no Roms will even begin being developed.

Loki is a tool to get around locked bootloaders. Being added to its list is the first step to get developers the opportunity for recoveries, roms and kernels.

How do you get the aboot?
i got it for him already but you can pull it with these adb commands

adb shell
shell@android:/ $ su
shell@android:/ # dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot of=/data/local/tmp/aboot.img
shell@android:/ # chmod 644 /data/local/tmp/aboot.img
shell@android:/ # exit
shell@android:/ $ exit
dan@pc:~$ adb pull /data/local/tmp/aboot.img
3293 KB/s (2097152 bytes in 0.621s)
