6148377[/URL]]Hi guys I need help I have just upgraded my galaxy S3 for a galaxy S4 16gb but when I look at the memory and it says memory free 9gb so where has the other 7gb gone ? :/

I started out with the 16GB too. (AT&T) After the first day, I ended up taking it back for the 32GB, because I ran out of space before downloading all of my apps from my previous phone. I paid the restock fee, but called customer service to have it waived. It only cost $50 more, which in the long run, is well worth the money.

Sadly, this is typical.

I use FolderMount (which requires root) to move data to my 64GB SD card so I still have a reasonable amount of free space, but the only other option is to buy a 32GB S4.

The system OS and Samsung bloatware. Anytime you buy a computer, part of the storage space is taken up by such things. In the case of the S4, it takes up a rather large percentage.
