For those of you who bought the G2, do you still like it?

I still have the gnex and have had since it came out almost 2 years ago. I still like the phone so I'm not dying to upgrade... but if I was going to, it would probably be to the G2. For you guys that have it, do you like it, not like it, love it... and what phone did you have previously.

I had Motorola DROID RAZR. Picked up the G2 release day Sept 12th and I am loving it more and more everyday. No regrets here. Not at all!

How are you feeling about the buttons being on the back? Im reading around at reviews for "cons" of this phone... and other than the buttons, I never see any real complaints. Just crap like its not the best camera or the speakers sound a litle tinny sometimes. None of that stuff bothers me because its not a stereo or DSLR.

I like it, but android OS is taking time to get used to. I like the buttons being on the back and haven't accidentally depressed them like on other phones. I don't seem to get the long battery life others Do, but it isn't bad as long as I'm not constantly on it (hard to do on a new phone/OS). I felt the photos from my Nokia 920 were better, especially focusing and low light circumstances. This camera is okay, just seem to get lots of blur with the slightest bit of movement (an arm moving). I'm sticking with the G2, at least until next year, and then will see what WP has to offer. The keyboard when horizontally orientated is awesome and makes typing fast and accurate.

I honestly thought I was going to buy this and then return it to get the Note 3, but as time goes by, I like this phone more and more. Like others have said, the knock-on feature is a game changer. I don't know that I will be able to use that for two weeks and then let go of that! I almost wish the power button didn't even exist on it.

The battery life is unreal and the screen is amazing. I am coming from an S4, and didn't really think I would be this impressed. I really wish the Note 3 was already out so I could go get a feel for it, but now I am leaning toward keeping the G2.

I think coming from the gnex you will be plenty happy with it. I personally don't think there is a better phone on the market today.

I picked this phone up 3 days ago. I had the galaxy s 3. I love this phone its much more sleeker and simple. The interface is better than samsungs touchwiz.
Also about the button placement i thought it be an issue but actually it feels natrual in the portrait position. Maybe landscape not so much. Camera is great. Speaker placement is not that bad agian natrual placement for portrait but landscape eh.

Damn. Well thank you all very much. Your responses have just solidified my decision. I'll be ordering a G2 this week. I saw a smoke colored thin case on Verizon... does anyone have it or any other thin case? I don't want bulk. I have the case mate barely there on the gnex.

Assuming you're talking about the Incipia? If you're looking for the least bulk, I'd say that's probably going to be the one for you. Something like a TPU would give you a little more protection on a drop but the Incipia will protect it from general abrasions and so forth. If you are used to the barely there, it'll probably be an easy transition for you.

Cases are extremely limited for the Verizon G2 right now. You only have the flip/window, Verizon's TPU, or shell/holster to choose from. I assume the third party case manufacturers will provide more choices for Verizon at some point.

I use it about as much as the last phones I have had and they typically would only last about a day.

I picked up the smoked TPU case from VZW corporate store. Just wanted to get something on there as soon as poss.
I am really liking the case a lot. Does not add much bulk at all and has an excellent grip. The only con is that it is a bit of a fingerprint magnet, but not to bad. The fit is perfect and when you lay the phone face down it has just enough lip so you don't have to worry about scratching the screen. It also does not cover up any of that beautiful screen, seeing that it has such a tiny front bezel...
I am also able to charge the phone on the wireless pad with the case on it. !!!
