Yes you read that correctly, the Spirit now has Official CWM and CWM Touch Recovery!!!

This is all due to djrbliss's creation loki, so make sure to thank him and show him you all appreciate his time and work. ;)

Current draw backs
  • ROM Manager's loki support needs updating, koush has been contacted and informed.
  • AKA dont use RM to install CWM/T with the current version 5.3.3.0. It wont harm your device, it just doesnt loki or flash the dl'd image.

I will be making a flashable zip and working on a app that will dl and flash cwm for you. Zip should be available later today, app's eta unknown atm. ;)

For those of you who are savvy and/or brave enough to loki the img's yourself, you can get them here. ;)

Handy Dandy installer app!

I don't even have this phone, but my buddy does and I do all his work for him. Glad to see some official support finally. Now if we can get the same for the metro l9. Keep up the outstanding work PG and DJRBliss.

The L9 have a true recovery??? If so does it fully work??? etc etc etc.

PM me with details and links if possible.

And I will post up as soon as I know its has been and I test it out. ;)

Did you have cwm flashed prior? RM should work fine with the unofficial build i did. RM currently wont flash the new imgs i officially built tho till koush updates loki in it. Thus why i did the zip and started working on a app to do it. ;)

Why you do dis? you no love motion?

Because this phone is bigger and better
lol, thats not the reason.

I have 6.0.3.9 working on the motion too, and have a app prudy much ready for it. But it still wipes data when booting to recovery.

I need to redo how it dl's and there is a issues backing up data larger than 4GB (fat doesnt allow files over 4GB). So I been trying to get it to do a tar.gz, but seems android/busybox doesnt do gzip.
;)

Trust I give both devices plenty of time. lol

Hmm. I was a couple days late to the party, but I'm super excited to see an official supported recovery for our little powerhouses. Big, big steps...
Anyways, my trigger finger got to itching and I went ahead and let CWM 5.3.3 whatever flash the updated recovery for me. Under the patch notes of CWM on the market lists support for Loki patch, so I figured why not. Everything works like a charm. So much so I was able to nandroid backup, wipe, flash to the updated Samurai (which has loki'd CWM touch wrote into it) , and kept my new recovery everything working great. I am able to use PG's Rebooted or Xposed Framework advanced power menu to access recovery no problem.
I did find having the loki'd CWM touch previously, I flashed the official recovery with CMW (the free version which is non touch) and still kept my touch feature. The recovery is noticeably updated, but just retains Touch feature which is awesome!

Thanks PG for everything, now let's get that damn CM done so we can maybe get supported there and be able to receive OTAs =)

So I flashed the new, updated CM10 to test out Focal, and now seem to find myself running 2 recoverys for some odd reason. In Samurai ROM after flashing CWM 6.0.3.9Touch in original post, I had no problem reaching recovery with adb, power menu, your Rebooter app, RM, etc...
Now that I'm running CM10, I rebooted to recovery with the power menu only to find myself in 6.0.3.1Touch. I noticed my recovery didn't stick after ROM flashing, so I accessed RM, which said I was still running 6.0.3.9. I am able to access 6.0.3.9Touch with RM, adb reboot recovery, but If I reboot to recovery from the power menu, I end up in the loki'd 6.0.3.1Touch. Weird...
I haven't tried your Rebooter App yet...

Will this boot with using vol down + power? And will this reset phone? And does this allow backing up to internal

yup, not unless you tell it too, and yup. It works fully, even UMS. ;)

ok, it wont boot to bootloader even tho it has the option. I didnt see the need to use a custom ui.c just to remove that when it will just reboot normally if attempted. ;)
