When will jellybean 4.3 be released?

I've moved to Waze and really like it. I don't bother with Google Maps any more. For now. ;)

A few questions about Waze:

1. Is there a way to make it recognized as a navigation app so that when you open a Chrome to Phone address it will open Waze. Only about half the GPS programs seem to do that, and Waze isn't doing that for me.

2. Is there a way to toggle between a close up view and a view of your entire route with traffic information. I'm not seeing it can do that. In fact, I'm not seeing that it shows traffic at all, although it claims to take traffic into account.

Well that is kind of a dealbreaker. I guess I'll just wait until October 31st.

I thought so too - but Google re-downloads all apps automatically, Samsung restores wallpaper and texts and all that and when using different Launcher like Nova - you can restore the layout from backup ... so unless you have tons of games which don't save their save games in the cloud - you are back up in no time :)

Is there a way to avoid this update altogether?

This update and all future updates! Get used to the fact that Knox will be on all future firmware updates for the S4, S3 Note 2 and Note 3.

Therefore if your present firmware doesn't already contain Knox, and a lot do already, you should disable automatic OTA updates and refuse updates via Kies as you are now on the latest firmware there will ever be without Knox. No going to Android 4.3 or KitKat I'm afraid.

Knox does not present a problem or concern to anyone running stock firmware unless they wish to root their phone and flash custom firmwares and mods. In fact, it provides an added layer of security against malware.

Yes, Android 4.3 is being rolled out now. First to get it is Product code DBT, CSC code OXA, Germany, for the quad core, International version. Minority variants and carrier branded firmwares are anybodies guess as Gomjaba states. If you are carrier branded, then you should contact your carrier as it is they who have to add their bloatware and return it to Samsung for release.
