I have 2 different SD cards I have been using for my Note 2 but neither will register on the New Note 3 I just got. It simply does not recognize at all that there is an SD card in the slot. Can anyone shed some light on this please D:

*edit* that was suppose to read Not* in title

You probably have to re format the card.

I can't reformat the card because the phone will not recognize that an SD card has been placed in the slot.

It says Micro SD HC as far as brand goes. It worked perfectly fine on my Note 2. it is 64 GB. I also have an older 16 GB Micro SD and it will not recognize this one either, yet both are recognized on my Note 2.

I know it sounds like an obvious solution, but are the SD cards getting pushed in all the way when you install them? With the button toward the battery, you should be able to fit the blunt end of the S pen between the battery and the card when it's fully inserted.

Yea just double-checked that as well. they are definitely in there all the way. I think I am just going to have to take it into Best Buy and see what they say about it. At this point it feels like faulty hardware.

I went ahead and took it back to Best Buy. I exchanged SD cards with another employee who also had a note 3 and we determined that it was a problem with the hardware.

I exchanged it and the SD card works perfectly on my new Note 3. Thx for the responses guys :)

Wow, so it was the actual phone? That sucks, but glad it was resolved.
