Text messaging is a bit difficult with that model. Although you can't beat the monthly service charge.

Rumor is the Verizon version will come out in a few months, but will use different cans so all accessories are incompatible. Also it will cost more, and the string will need Verizon approval before updates.

The Note 3 in that Verizon Star Wars family commercial is running stock Android.

Well probably not running. I'm guessing they overlayed an image on the phone during editing.

I'm in the same boat Steven. I was due for an upgrade as of August 15 according to Verizon but I am holding out until at least the middle of November and hoping to saving every penny as I wait. Currently I am still drooling over the Note 3 though and watching as the Chief puts his through its paces and works the kinks out of rooting it. I like the idea of not having to resize every screen so I can see it.

For now just waiting for gaping hole to heal so I can quit ripping it open everytime I work out or run. ;-)
