Moto Droid Maxx Cases and Accessories

I feel like I'm talking to myself here, but here's some feedback on the Hornet Commuter:

You guys who got Commuters from VZW with no screen protector need not feel bad. OtterBox engineering gets a "D" from me on the protector included with the Commuter. The vertical fit is fine, but it's too wide horizontally to adhere to the screen at the edges. Even perfectly centered, the bevel on the screen underlaps the protector, causing a small, unadhered band down both edges. This wouldn't be so bad, except when the phone is put into the case, the rubber jacket seems to press inward on the edges of the protector, causing the unadhered place to expand and become visible, rather than being hidden under the rubber edge. In short, if you take the time to do it right, you'll likely be disappointed with the results. I'm not impressed.

I greatly prefer the wet-installation method protectors like Skinomi or Zagg anyway. The Skinomi that I have on my Maxx is just fine.

I've had a few Otterbox cases that came with screen protectors; I just threw them away anyway.

I got my Diztronic case from Amazon. It's way more slippery that I thought it would be. I like the glossy finish on the front, which also seems to have better grip. Anyone care to share their experience with theirs? Is it less slippery than it seems to be? I am getting my phone today and I am debating keeping the case, or getting what I have had on two previous phones here

I have the Diztronic case. It's not slippery at all when using it. No problems here.

The "case friendly" version probably stops just short of the edge of the screen so as not to get all messed up with a case that wraps over. I have never had a problem with cases and screen protectors, but I have heard of it being a problem for some folks. Good for them for capitalizing on that! (Personally, I think there are much cheaper alternatives that are just as good as Zagg out there - StealthShieldz for one)

I am a long time Seidio holster fan. The problem I foresee is the camera and speaker position. Seidio has been able to position the spring clips to be out of the way of the camera lens on most phones, positioning it off to one side if necessary.however, on this phone the camera and speaker take up a good portion of the middle of the phone at the top, leaving little room on the side for a spring clip.

How good is the playback quality? I got the netgear push2tv (for free after bitching at vzw for terrible service lol) and it sucks. Glitchy, and not that great of image. Can't playback Netflix without it flickering over and over.

Absolutely amazing. Truly no quality problems that I can tell.
