I just sold my Droid Eris on Ebay, since I will be receiving my Droid Incredible this week. I wanted to say thanks to all the people on this thread that really made me glad I had this phone. Most of you were very helpful and makes me sad to leave this thread.

I truly enjoyed the Eris but, I was ready for an upgrade. I will still be on the forums of course, just with a different phone. I wish you all the best luck and hope one of these rumors about the official 2.1 update are true, if not at least there is the leaked version.

Take Care

Another hidden "i'm getting a newer/better phone than the Eris! And I'm going to mention the new phone by name to make you all jealous" thread...

How original. /s

I appreciate you acting civil and not bashing the Eris on the way out like others have done, but in the end, you just wanted to rub the "Incredible" in there just a little bit.

Otherwise you would have not even mentioned what phone you were getting.

Actually, most people would have just left the forum without saying a word.

But hey, to each his/her own.

Wow, are you kidding me? I had no intentions of rubbing in which phone I am getting, jealous much. I have no reason to to brag about the phone I am getting, I just thought maybe someone would be curious to know what phone I would be getting.

The Eris is a terrific phone, I loved it, in fact I am sad to see it go. But like I said I was able to upgrade, so why not? My whole intention of this thread was to say thanks to the people that contributed here and even if I didn't post always, I was reading and very thankful to the people helping out.

Sorry if I offended anyone, didn't mean to if I did.

Thanks again everyone.

I will never get why people are so hardcore with trading phones so frequently. Most of the time when you hear that someone is selling their phone 6 months into owning it that it must suck.

I find that the eris is far from a horrible phone and I don't see why people cannot deal with it for 19 months till they get a upgrade. Major overkill to get a new phone so frequently, but whatever floats your boat. Besides in 19 months when most get their upgrade the droid incredible will be just like what the razor once was, history.

Sounds like you would really like to have an Incredible yourself.

No need to hate Incredible owners... enough hate coming our way already from Eris owner/Incredible dreamers

Trust me, my wife doesn't understand it either. I love having all the new technology, it drives me insane when there is something out there that I really want. My motto is that I wont buy a new phone unless I sell my old phone, so usually I don't spend any extra money. My wife doesn't care what kind of phone she has, so I use her upgrade every now and again.

I know some people that wait their entire 1 to 2 years to get a new phone, I unfortunately am not one of them people. I figure, that I make pretty good money and I will spend it on what I like. I don't buy a whole lot of things, but when I do it can be expensive.

With all the new phones coming out all the time, no phone is going to last me a long time. I usually use do an annual upgrade every year to get a new phone.

Hmm, hes not doing anything wrong considering hes posting on the eris board about how these droid incredible people are coming here to post about how the incredible is better.

He had some pose with the op but I would have to agree. No reason to have a thread about how he sold his eris to get a incredible on the eris board. Why bother, knowing that you wouldn't want to here that ur best friend got the 2010 model of your 2009 car with more features.

Clearly people here like you do not get it or rather feed the trolling. annoying indeed for those that are legit and love their eris on the eris board.

Good Luck with the new phone, just having a bad day. Sorry dude.

I'll keep off forums from now on until my day gets better. :(

Hell, its fine as long as your solid with ur decision. Clearly the incredible is a great phone. Me thinks its overkill but if your a tech buff I completely understand.

Its always nice to have the latest and greatest. Its up the the person on if its worth it to keep up and trade up.

Maybe your right, I didn't mean to start anything and I am not trolling. I said the main reason I did this thread was to thank the people that have contributed here. This is not a Eris vs. Incredible thread, if I knew people who go crazy if I mentioned the Incredible i would have not said anything.

??
I love my Eris and am NOT getting an Incredible.
I just thought there was no reason for Willdogs to hate on the OP, since he seemed sincere in thanking the forum.

Apparently so did Willdogs since he apologized. So yes, i do get it.

Well as long as this is a friendly place on a Sunday evening, I pre ordered the Incredible and just got notification that is was shipped. But I really like this place (yes, all of you pains in the asses) and don't wish to leave. I love my Eris but felt I had to move on, at least for a 30 day trial. I'm a computer guy and the Eris just felt like I needed an upgrade or more RAM or a faster processor or something. I hope you know what I mean. I kind of want to either take you all with me to another forum or combine the two. But I know the acrimony would be intolerable and I understand. If anyone wants to know my experiences I will gladly let you know but if you don't I completely sympathize. I'll be keeping the Eris as a backup and if the Incredible is not ... well ... incredible, then I'll suck up the $35 restocking and come back. And if this phone doesn't feel as good as my Eris it's going back pronto.
Hey, are we allowed to post here if we don't use an Eris?

I'm very interested to see how all the "early adopters" fare. I think out of all the big dogs that have come out lately, the Incredible will be the best, but that's just because I am a huge HTC fan and think they make the best quality phones. But still... I'll be lurking around those boards to see what kind of issues pop up. There have to be some, right??

EDIT:Oh, and OP, you're welcome (I guess :p). Have fun with the latest and greatest.

Have fun with your Droid, Wolfedude. Don't forget to pop around here now and then to give us a bit of comparative analysis. ;)

Take care.
